Revelation 13:18 “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

It has been shown that the 666th name in the Bible is Solomon. Solomon was acclaimed for his great wisdom, which agrees with the quote in Revelation “Here is wisdom”. Additionally, Solomon used his wisdom to gain 666 talents of gold in one year (1 Kings 10:14). Solomon eventually turned away from God and provoked his anger.

Why is Solomon 666? The original sin was taking from the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden. Eve wanted to become like God. Similarly, our quest for knowledge, science and technology have made us “all-knowing” but the result is that we have turned away from God. Why? All the products of our knowledge lead to new and more ingenious ways to sin. We idolise cars instead of following Jesus, we waste hours in front of the TV while half the world is left in poverty.

There are other tell-tale signs. For example, the first Apple computer went on sale for $666.66, a genuine “fruit” of the tree of knowledge. Isaac Newton had finished formulating the famous three Laws of Motion in 1666.

But what does this all mean for us? People aren't going to be abandoning their televisions, cinema and automobiles without very strong motivation. However, such concerns will become irrelevant when the events of the end times start. They will start with a tsunami on April 1st 2007 (All Fool's Day) affecting the East Coast of America. Since foolishness is the opposite of wisdom, it will be a day of anti-wisdom, anti-666 and destruction of the beast. It is therefore strongly recommended that people should leave the area before April. You were gone this long and this is all you brought back???

I'll be watching the calendar and the news April 1st, then I'll go online to witness your "April fool's" proclamation, with a hardy laugh at our expense. LOL. Good one.

Nothing like a lengthy set up, eh?

Hardly - this is the kind of April fools where eveyone says "Ah, April fools joke" then gets a tsunami. I've been gone for a while because I've been getting more evidence together - I'm actually saying the same thing as I did before in my post on the Prophesy about Florida.

A prophacy that failed to materialize.

I would find it easier to beleive you were gone, because you submitted to a mental health facilaty for an extended period of time, for the sake of you failing mental health.

Either the dosage of your meds if to low, or you have stopped taking them outright.

Probably nothing. Better have a post prepared for April 2nd that explains why the prediction failed. First rule of prophecy, alasdair: don't be specific, you'll only make a fool of yourself.

I hope you know that you're prophesying an act of Divine Justice, the process of which is explained in "The Wisdom of Solomon"....the same basically as you have put forth on your posts... If you believe that Solomon is the Antichrist, even though he was the son of David, then would you not be wary of predicting things that follow the teachings that he prescribed??? Solomon's failing by the way was the same as his fathers, he couldn't stay away from the girls...pretty human in my view...

Solomon isn't the antichrist - Paul is, see http://www.worldends.co.uk/english/archive52.pdf. The main reasons are payment for priests and establishing church traditions, but there are many others. Solomon is 666 because our conventional wisdom ("common sense") suggests that following Jesus is foolish. For example, how many people do you see selling their things and giving the money to the poor? Your relatives are the people who will give you the most resistance in this kind of thing.

Have you read the "Wisdom of Solomon"?

Have you "sat at Solomon's table"?

Well it's wrong then in terms of conventional wisdom (wisdom brings wealth etc). Following Jesus is seen to be foolish by the standards of "common sense".

Conventional wisdom, as you put it, sounds a bit like Calvinism...

Watch out for "snares" of man's making....

By the way, Jesus was wise and he made a lot of sense in my world...

Yes in my world too. But there is a difference between spiritual wisdom and conventional wisdom. Even if you think intellectually that Jesus was very wise there's a difference between reading the bible and doing it. If you follow Jesus - actually do it - what do other people think?

Here's your answer from posts in this discussion:

Where is the wisdom in counting names in a book? Or the superstition in numbers?

I would find it easier to beleive you were gone, because you submitted to a mental health facilaty for an extended period of time, for the sake of you failing mental health.

Jesus was wise, people are not. People who take his words and interpret them for there own are not wise. Why are so many Christians divided on so many issues? If the Bible where clear, then the answers would be. But Christians are divided on issues like war, gay rights, abortion, euthanasia, evolution and many others. There are so many sects.

Okay, I just counted and Solomon is number 671 in the good book. Do I get a prize?

That's very close to 666. Did you make a list of names? Which Bible translation did you use? I'm only asking because I'm wondering where your five extra names came from. Did you apply the same rules as in http://www.worldends.co.uk/english/archive56.pdf?

It also means that the name at position 616 in your list should be Saul because he is 611 in mine. In fact I originally counted the names to prove that Saul was at position 616 but found Solomon at 666 instead.
