In a recent interview, Pope Francis has declared that the Church's intent focus on contentious issues such as gay rights and abortion, needs to change.

From what very little I've read so far, he seems to be about focusing on being very inclusive and welcoming. A more positive as opposed to negative approach. Smart move, smart man.
