On 640 AM John Oakley show this morning Tim Hudak newly elected Progressive Conservative leader replacing John Tory he is bringing back the Common Sense Revelation.

Tim said that it worked for Mike Harris and it will work again.

Tim said that it was Premier McGuinty’s fault that Ontario is a have not province an he was proud have served under Mike Harris.

The Common Sense Revolution was a good idea but poorly executed plan for political change.

As time went on the plan changed to the detriment of Ontario voters.

Ontario government decided to close hospitals even though the population was increasing and this dramatically increased emergency room wait times. They closed them near senior citizen area and all they said is they just have to travel farther to get help.

Ontario government decided to take over the education system in exchange for provincial services which was more than it got and the cities had a financial crises an without consultation of the cities.

Ontario government decided to make bigger cities so they amalgamated six cities around Toronto and it became the new city of Toronto, they did this to Hamilton and Ottawa and the cities effected did not want this change.

Tim Hudak was one of the architects and whole-heartedly supported then changes as it was happening of The Common Sense Revolution.

The voters of Ontario got so mad at the Progressive government that Mike Harris resigned before an election was called and left a respected PC politician Ernie Eves holding the bag just like Brian Mulroney when he left before the federal elections leaving Kim Campbell Canada’s only woman Prime Minister holding the bag.

The Common Sense Revolution was a big failure, which the voters of Ontario will not soon forget.

I have to thank Tim Hudak because the Liberals will win again in Ontario.

I heard it, too. God bless Mr. Hudak. When Hudak wins jobs will return to Ontario just as they did under Mr. Harris.

He's kinda the left overs that the feds didn't want isn't he.

The common sense revolution left Ontario in a mess plus a 5 billion dollar deficit during a strong and growing economy. What happened to the guy who wanted to be mayor, failed then became the leader of what was left of the Ontario Conservatives but couldn't get elected as dog catcher? Is he going back to wanting to be mayor again?

I don't think I want to have services like hospitals and public schools cut again so that we can start paying for schools for Muslims, Jews, Baptists or any other group who can't attract people to their church, mosque or synagogue.

Thanks Anyway Mike

With Stephen Harper at the helm for Canada what are the chance of Tim Hudak leader of the Progressive Conservatives of Ontario winning the elections this fall?

The last thing I need is more Conman sense - although Mike already killed any chance for heavy industry by letting private enterprise turn a profit from Hydro

The Harris government was little more than smoke and mirrors, the place was in a mess
when he finished. The real problem for Ontario is that the industrial base is gone and that
is courtesy of politics and business being far to cozy together. We have had governments
playing footsie with business and making free trade deals wit the third world that favour
others at our expense. We don't need common sense we need someone in charge that if
not rational at least they should be sane. Ontario will suffer for another ten to fifteen years
no matter who is in power

Common sense revolution?

Trust me, if there is one thing I've learned in my life, it's that common sense is not that common.

It just sounds really good in an election ad.

Whatever you do, don't go with common sense. Choose good sense over common sense.

I shake my head when these strange groups use the slogans of yesterday and today
to convince voters they should govern. The right and the left fringe do this because
they believe their ideas are the only way to solve the problems all other plans are not
welcome. I think we need ideas not slogans and catch phrases.

Unfortunately, human psychology prevails. Slogans and catch phrases sound better than long wonky explanations for why something works.

Industry is not leaving Ontario cause of anything the government has done.

Thats a globalization problem, that will only fix itself when 1 of 2 things happen.

1- I can feed my family on 5$ a month
2-The yuan the rupee and every emerging country's currency is worth more then the Canadian dollar

We are a have not cause of globalization.
Thats even way out of our Federal governments control, let alone a provincial one.

Privatization of Ontario Hydro by the Mike Harris Tories wasn't anything the government did? That's news to me ... and the 670 people at Kidd Met who lost their jobs to Quebec....

I really don't give a damn for whom you vote. I barely survived one bout of Common Sense with Mikey the hatchet man's cuts to social services. Joe the hound is a much better choice than Hudak

I have to disagree. It is our governments that have allowed globilization to dictate to us instead of us dictates to the rest of the world. We are a net export country that has given almost all our primary and secondary industry away through free trade agreements. The rest of the globe wants what we have and they will buy it from us with tarrifs attached if that is the only way we will sell it. Our federal governments have allowed gigantic revenues to disappear and now have to replace them at the expense of the people or cut services at the expense of the people. The only winners from free trade are the corporations and the sooner we put a stop to it the better every individual in this country will be.

Not in the next 4 years I gess lol.

I think what your saying would be a step in the right direction. Would it solve our situation? I don't think so.
China is a huge beast. Try wrapping your head around the idea, That Every Company or Corporation
in china is Owned by the stat.

Not only is there labor cost Penny per month compared to our working class. They can run there Corporations at cost if it wants to kill competitiom. Meaning they can take a buck and turn it into 4 quarters and thats no problem. Our free enterprise can't even come close to competing with that idea.

Not only do we have to lose free trade. We need or governments to own a tone of Corporation. Based them in Canada. And figure out a way for me to feed my family on 5$ a month.

That or figuer out a way to boost there Yuan currency. (Like if everyone starts buying and useing yuan)
