I'd say Canada has proven smarter overall. Why is the US plannig to give the Great Lakes away? At least Harper is smart enough to suggest selling it. Also, how is the US going to clean the sewage out of its side of the Great Lakes if it takes all the water out? At least on the Canadian side we're leaving the water in so that it could flush it down the Saint Laurence Seaway. Oh I bet Montreal isn't going to like that.

On second thought, this is brilliant. If Quebec wants a say in waht goes on upstream, it's going to need MPs in Parliament. Sovereignty won't be so popular anymore.

They're used to the smell of separatists so it probably won't bother them too much.

But I bet they'll have fewer separatists once they understand the value of having a say in what goes on upstream. You see, I bet this is all a part of a consrvative Master Strategy to promote national unity.

Do you know a way to put rubber pants of the boundary line?

And Cannuck, I lived in Montreal before. Separatists didn't smell any more than federalists. In fact, many were quite friendly and liked soccer too.

I don't know, but I'm always open to ideas.

Oooooooooh- they may need a fairly hefty pipe too.

So you are saying that all Kweebeckers smell? Harper is probably putting something in the water to make Kweebeckers persona non grata in the ROC. That's probably a pretty good idea. Let the eastern bastards stink in the dark.

Let those eastern bastards get fat off complex carbs?...er in the dark.

Oh yeah. With all the metal they'll need to that, they might have to abandon that buy-America clause.

I lived in BC too, and people didn't smell any different there either. Unless all Canadians smell?

....and all of this comes to the light of day after we've left Western
Canada virtually defenseless by selling off the entire submarine
fleet from the West Edmonton Mall....to the Chinese!!!!

Thankfully Saskatchewan has been training a crack squad of
anti-Great-Lake-Draining-Rodents in secret for years...Just in
case....

None of them can actually swim, but once the lakes are drained and
filled with potatoes, then look out!!!

Dammit!... i missed-out on all the fun.

Although it's wwaayy late:

That damn Harper better not sell the secret egg salad sandwich recipe along with the rest of our heavy water to the Mongolians and the Roman hordes.

(The sandwich comment makes sense if you've seen 'What's Up Tiger Lily')

Yeah Gerryh, us Prairie boys don't have a whole lot of experience
with naval warfare, but the test runs with those Subs worked so
well in an ocean of wheat!! Who could'a guessed the screen
doors and patio lanterns wouldn't have worked in water?

In this "Water" conflict with the USA, we might have to find new
Allies with some the traditional military opponents of the
Americans....

Like the North Koreans:

And (my personal favorites) the Russians:

They'll never drain the Great Lakes. That would reveal the secret Illuminati UFO base and research centre in the deeps of Lake Superior, where the 911 conspiracy and the JFK assassination were planned, where they make all the stuff for chemtrails, where Big Pharma devises all its plots to make us sick... And Jimmy Hoffa.

Dex,
That is not true. They found Jimmy's body in Tammy Fae's makeup.

No because once all the water has gone there are going to be some really big holes left he can put all that water in.

Another stillborn topic, just to bash Americans.

If Americans had the means and the tools of draing the Great Lakes, they would surely have the means and tools to avoid the devastating Spring floods in the Mid Western States and re-route the water to thirsty South West.

Probably need an environmental assessment before being allowed to water a desert too. And permission from Greenpeace and Susuki.

That wouldn't surprise me, I know Lake Erie is one of the filthiest bodies of water on the planet, all the sh*t from Ohio drains straight in there.
