It is interesting that you would post something from a right-wing think-tank to make a point. What's also interesting is that the story shows that when bad decisions are made, Albertans correct them rather than whine and hold their hands out for a hand out.

Natural gas accounts for 10% of Alberta's revenue, followed closely by revenue from income tax. Stelmech is very concerned that the price of natural gas is not rising in lockstep with the price of oil. There is speculation he is about to announce a major push to get more rigs out there drilling for gas. More drilling means more revenue from the product and more people working to pay taxes.
