I would like to see an add campaign next election challenging voters to vote for their MP based on his character.
If people vote for the candidate rather than his party, idiots can no longer cruise into office by just wearing a popular party brand name.
And if we vote for a candidate based on his character, then regardless whether we agree with him or not, at least we know he'll do what he says he'll do.
I wouldn't mind a petition either prohibiting elections Canada from printing party names on ballots. This should force the ignorant masses to at least get to know the effin' name of the candidate of the party they want to mindlessly vote for as part of their friggin' family tradition. I'm not kiddin', I've met people who vote for a party because their friggin' parents and grandparents vote for it. That just makes an effin' travesty of democracy.
