Does Canada need a more pro-UN Conservative party?

Though I've never voted Conservative in my life, I have to admit that if the Conservative party became more pro-UN (support Kyoto, 2.5% GDP for underdeveloped countries, continued commitment to UN peacekeeping, etc.) maybe (just maybe, but no guarantee) I'd vote for it, as long as it supported more funding for education and training for trades and professions.

Why this shift from the left? Because when the left promotes increased commitment to the UN or education, it increases spending on every other useless pet project too.

With the exceoption of UN commitment and education, though, I am essentially conservative I suppose.

But where to find the balance. There is no such party at the moment, but do you think there would be rom for such a party at the moment (i.e. pro-UN and pro educaiton, but Conservative otherwise)?
