I assume if civil matters are one thing, you have no problem with Canada currently giving 4 rounds of welfare payments to each of a Muslims wives, yet the canadian goverment will charge childrens parents for any perscription costs they may require, seems fine and dandy and totally unbiased.
Very well put and quite true.

I can sight personal experience with that. Not only does it apply to prescriptions, it also applies to healthcare.

So you are suggesting that Health Canada provide free proscription services to my lawyer for his children's medicine even though he has an income of over a million dollars annually?

To me there is a difference between supporting a contributing member of society, and just supporting a complete burden.

And I believe ET is in England, and I'm not mistaken there social services does not support prescription meds.

I could be wrong, but being what I believe to be the case, that would be my marker for my support of his commentary.

And will would note, if you weren't a narrow minded Socialist, that I stated I could be wrong.

See, unlike you, I do not think I'm right all the time.

But you'll have to supply some supporting documentation, as I trust you as far as I can throw my house.

I believe that perscription medicine for any child under 16 or in full time education should be free of charge, and if you weren't living next to America comparing your health system to their appalling health system, you would most likely have a different view.
The Canadian government gets away with a lot by just pointing to the American system and saying ''well this is what could be happening''

From what I can tell, if you have countless children, don't work, marry a Native, leave school early, you get a free ride in life, where as people like your ''Lawyer'' who studied hard, applied themselves to their goals, are expected to pick up the tab, I disagree, peopel should be encouraged to work and have stable families, not punished because they achieved something with their life.

Yes CdnBear, I was in Canada visiting my in-laws and my son needed antibiotics, as they have dual citizenship, i was a little amazed to learn i had to pay $300 for my then 10month old sons perscription, if it were myself, then ok, but a child?....... my whole point is, surely rather than paying Mohammed Abduhl Musaki welfare to each of his ''4'' wives, it would be better spent ensuring every child was entitled to free health care.

P.S
The most annoying thing about my experience, the Dr decided at the end of the course it was the wrong perscription so I had to get another, again at my expense due to his incompetence.

I get ya.

And I agree. Not based on what ancestral nationality, not on what religion, for it matters not. What actually matters is the fact that no matter what ones social position, abuse of one system and the lack of support on another, is a monumental flaw.

Lets say for instance one does not have a cushy Union benefit package, and earns an income outside the coverage of social assistance.

Any incurred additional health related cost, above that covered by the Canadian Healthcare system, would be a burden.

*

I'm surprised the 'fear and loathing' crowd didn't get that part of our assertions. Me thinks me smell the narrow minded, mind set of ideological blinders.

Even when our beliefs merge and seem partnered, they can't get over themselves and their tripe long enough to concede we have a commonality.

Pathetic really.

Our system is a little different. We have insurance that pays for most if not all the costs for prescription drugs for dependants through employer benefit packages. For those with an income so low they don't qualify, usually social assistance recipients, drug costs are covered by the province.

What we don't do is give a free ride to anyone visiting the country as it leads to people entering Canada just to get free health care. There is already a huge problem with that, which has put a strain on an already stressed system.

As well I suggest to you that the shenanigans our government gets away with is solely due to the apathy of Canadians towards government rather than our proximity to the Yanks.

I disagree with the last paragraph, if you knew how absurd some charges, or sections of the Canadian Health system were compared to other countries, you would certainly be far from impressed, insurance is all very well, but as my Mother In-law who has a heart condition and requires certain medications, not only do the goverment not cover some of this, but hers and her husbands insurance also refuse to cover this, leading to excessive bills every quarter, though I don't wish to get in to a debate highlighting the flaws throughout the Canadian health system.

However the main point i raised was, why should anyone need insurance to cover childrens health care? I am led to believe the ''cut-off'' for free perscriptions is approx $30k, if this is true, which i admit I am uncertain, this is an obscenely low income to start charging people for their childrens health. I may be over privileged with the health system we have in place in Britain, but a country as developed as Canada should be more concerned about it's own ''people'' than a Muslims 4 wives, therefore I think a little expenditure on childrens health coverage could surely be mustered.

In a nut shell, Canada cover your childrens health care and forget about welfare for Mohammed and his legion of wives!
