Okay the man has spoken. What has he said? Nothing. We should have chipped in and bought the ticket to Germany instead of the bill we will have for these useless proceedings. So what is your guess as to how much more we will have to pay Mulroney for all the false accusations and damage to his reputation?

Darkbeaver Tories don't like the truth, they would rather hide from the truth and pretend that nothing is wrong. The German at the end will be loved by many Canadians that respect democracy and not Fascism.

Everybody knows he took the $300K. Nobody can prove it. Last I heard we were going to flush another $30 million with all these inquiries.

Initial offence: $300K
Damages paid by the Liberals to Muldune: $2.1 million
Cost of inquiries: $30 million.

Great economics. We are wasting our tax money on something we will never prove.

I sure was! Talk happened after Mulroney had stepped down as Prime Minister and therefore had no political clout. Who says you can't research job prospects after you have resigned a position. People do it all the time. Now Schrieber says the first payment was while Mulroney was a member of parliament-2 days before he actually vacated his seat-so it's a future contract payment-happens all the time and has nothing to do with we the Tax payer because he had already relinquished any power of persausion he may have had as an MP. Seems no different than John Q Public getting a position because of his good resume.

No one has a problem with a lobby group giveing $30,000 to Mkay and $300,000 to McCronnie in order to get influence over a Prime Minister to buy their goods? Maybe we should be looking for ways to force the government to change how candidates pay for their elections.

All of them have sold out and there isn't a single honest politician left in Ottawa let alone the ROC. Time to clean house and take some heads for the pike to show what happens to those who would ursurp the authority of this country. Or maybe, let's just keep taking it a little longer so we can jeer for the other team.

We must pray; oh god please destroy the New Conservative Party and the old Liberal Party and place our Communist NDP in power so we may sleep at nights with our bellys full of daily bread and cheese. ahmen

So you have no real arguement so you make things up? That is called Libel. You can be prosecuted for that. Are you any better than the politicians then?

Are you threatening legal action against Mr Unforgivin? I feel obliged to represent his interests while he has stepped out for a snack. I see nothing untoward in his statement. I'm sure when Un
gets back he will want to persue a counter suit. You could settle now with a letter of apology.

Pfft, now I'm worried. There is nothing to argue, they're scumbags and this is how they roll. And yes of course I am much better than any slimy politician you care to support.

Not to worry, this whine sack wouldn't care to come within 500 meters of a civil court and my attorney.

How about making lobbying illegal? That's a good start.

That is a good idea and you know it or you wouldn't have suggested it, sadly it will interfere with cash flow, so I think we will not see it. and consultants and no bid contracts and bribes like

That is of course the problem. I've heard them say we need to get rid of it, but a politicians promise means as much as a lazy persons New Year Resolution to be more proactive.

I could get behind the Get Big Money Out Of Politics Campaign. Looks like paying the big bucks attracts the sneaky and greedy rather than the best and brightest.
