What does being a true patriot to another nation have to do with anything?

We have our laws and treaties, if you want to come here, deal with it.

Bill O'Reily says the American people are the evil ones in the world. That's kinda funny eh? Where did Bill O'Reily get this whole hate on for Americans? Oh yeah, never mind I know.

Clearly it's an act of political intimidation on the part of the Canadian immigration officials I'm sure with some wad who tunes into O'Reily's show religiously to rant and rave at the tv while viewing the antics that go on there.

Do you think Canadian immigration bothers with some nasty gang banging Jamaicans returning for the umpteenth time? Negative nor M13 nor any of the problem people that are feeding the culture of fear via predation on the weak and wanton lawlessness. I'm sure this lady will not be shooting into crowds to bump some rival peace activist off and make a street name for herself.

Some danger to national security! Thanks for showing Canada as the dumb in the dumb and dumber show North America is becoming.

Whether she is or isn't a true patriot has nothing to do with this. We have rules about people with criminal records entering the country. So does the US. If you want to enter a foreign country, you would do well to read the rules before doing so.

We have rules that get turned on and off at will as determined by whichever petty bureaucrat happens to be on the other end of a confirming telephone call and whose ass he/she kisses. It could be very interesting for Harper if Col Wright and Gen Hilyer happen to hook up....

Woof!

That means we need to fire a few beaurocrats who let the rules slide, it was still right to turn this retired officer away at the border.

We are a democracy, we chose to enact these laws and by god the people we pay to uphold them can damn well do it. If the laws are bad and the people agree they will be changed. Its not up to a beaurocrats whim to change the rules and let people on through.

Rules are subject to interpretation. It's a gimmick that lawyers who make the rules write in to guarantee generations of future lawyers will have work. The bureaucracy will interpret in your favour or against you at whim and without fear of reprisal. Equality in Canada has nothing to do with law.

Exactly! And that this person is most likely to be critical to the current government, they are selected by the low level Harperite to stand as an example to others who speak out against coruption and the abuse of power.
