These two are without a doubt the two most famous modern Conservative Prime Ministers. Now, between the two which is more socially progressive?
What are their stances on:
Death Penalty?
Abortion?
Euthanasia?
Same-gender marriage?
Please, respond.
They are both against the death penalty.
I believe Mr. Mulroney has more of a pro-choice slant, but Harper is not rigid on the issue, and has said he will not push it.
I have no idea about their views on ethanasia.
Harper, despite the slick way he side-stepped the SSM bullet, is not a whole-hearted supporter. I would bet Mulroney is, though I don't know.
