The link does work, and it really doesn't matter who it effects. The point is, it is part and parcel of the problem of granting Quebec any sort of self governance or speration. The minute they have an inch, they put miles on the backs of the non french, Natives, Jews, Immagrants and so on.

Absolutely. There is no reason for supporting a system of segregation whether it be racial or linguistic in today's society. Apparently ,civil liberties are not required in Quebec.

I absolutely disagree with you. Supporting bill 101 does not mean you are a bigot or a racist. You are accusing most francophones in Quebec of being racists and bigots with your insinuations. I support Bill 101, or at least most of it. And I'm not a racist, nor a bigot. I'm not saying some of it couldn't be changed but it served the francophones of Quebec into taking a legitimate hold of their political power.

Of course you dissagree, and no I am not. I am painting the Quebecuois that support a bill as it was written, of being bigots and racists. The bill had to be challenged in the supereme court and then the governement of Quebec was FORCED to change. Not that they saw the errors in their ways, they had to be forced to change.

If you fail to see the significance of that, then I suggest that you brush up on your knowledge of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It served as proof of the immaturatiy and insecurity of the leadership of the government of Quebec and subsequently that of the people that feel, enacting laws that FORCE people to bend to the will of others, unconstitutionally, is a good thing.

If left to their own devices, the Government of Quebec will run out or over all non french. Just look to their history for proof.

Why does Quebec need political power beyong its provincial duties?
