Ontario needs a real principled and competitive alternative to the Liberals for October 2007
Sat., Oct. 21, 2006
Concerned Citizens of Ontario

87 years ago today, on the morning of Tuesday, October 21, 1919, the Citizens of the Province of Ontario soundly defeated the strong 84-seat governing Ontario Tories, reducing them to a weak 25-seat rump, and leaving its once mighty Premier Sir William Hearst and his bid for a fifth consecutive term in office as simply the Leader of the Third Party in Opposition, all because the Ontarian citizen took a chance on, had faith in and elected the newly-formed United Farmers of Ontario-Independent Labour political team to office in its first shot at the title, quite like the radical upstart spirit of William Lyon Mackenzie's Reform Party of Upper Canada during the 1830s.

Barrie's Ernest C. Drury then became the Premier, creating a humble yet powerful coalition built well between the 49 Farmers and 11 Labour MPPs of the day, an advantageous alliance of 60 regular everyday folks mainly working taxpayers from Rural and Northern Ontario which would keep both the Family Compact establishment Liberals and Conservatives from Toronto and Ottawa out of office at least for the interim, a realized dream of common sense for the common people that kept the voting bloc united against the unaccountable corruption of their dishonest big government and its many arms of tax-hungry lobbyists in both big business and big union.

Fast forward those 87 years now to Saturday, October 21, 2006, the Province of Ontario has once more been told yet another Liberal, Tory, same old status quo story, with a New Democratic regime in between under Premier Bob Rae, which left us the biggest debt and deficit ever in Ontario history that no average Ontarian could have ever imagined, bringing us to a point where yet again there is a need for us to realize another common sense for the common people dream about a principled and competitive governing alternative, whose voting bloc would unite as a brand-new political team rebelling patriotically against the unaccountable corruption of our dishonest big government, formed by these three provincial political parties and their politicians at Queen's Park today.

Concerned Citizens of Ontario believe we can make that dream of common sense for the common people a reality at the present, the creation of a principled and competitive governing alternative in Ontario by we grassroots citizens uniting together to make a brand-new political team once more as it was, finally giving Ontarians back a distinct choice for a true chance at real change, with democratic bottom-up representation tomorrow instead of today's autocratic top-down management as it is and will continue to be under the colluded Mcguinty, Tory and Hampton political agenda and regime regime ruling within the Ontario Legislative Assembly.

If you are an Ontarian citizen, who is deeply concerned and worried about the prospects of our province's economic, social and cultural future in this upcoming provincial election, the lack of choices between the unprincipled mainstream and the unelectable fringe and the need for immediate change such as the creation of a principled and competitive governing alternative in Ontario, then please sign this petition endorsing the proposal for a brand-new political team that gives you that positive chance this next time around, because if our brave forefathers all the way back from the days of W.L. Mackenzie's Upper Canadian Reformers to E.C. Drury and the United Farmers-Independent Labour movement of Ontario can deliver grassroots power through another option from the principles of the people, back in the day without technology against those big backroom boys of the all-powerful elite Family Compact, surely we can repeat that same political feat through grassroots power with technology in 2007!

God save us from all the goomers that want to come to our rescue! There are no principled political parties or players in Ontario. And there are no principled successors to what we have. Ontario is a big cow and everyone wants to milk it. And keep the cream for themselves. Anyone that tells you they have a solution or a new team should be immediately on your watch list. Then warn your kids!
