Control over North West passage

So who really controlls the North-west passage. And this isn't for a national debate but logically based on the evidence on the ground;

It seems the last two U.S ambassadors don't agree.

The US ambassadors can shove it. The NW Passage is ours and always will be. The Yanks figure if they give on the Passage they will have to give on the South China Sea involving China and Taiwan. We do need to increase our exertion of sovereignty. Without nukes to patrol under ice cap we are at a bit of a disadvantage.

I agree. We can't rely on a couple coast guard vessels to cover the whole of our northern border. Wait til the ice is gone and we have to start defining lines.
