Do you not understand that these sickos are purposely firing rockets and hiding amongst civilian populations? They are doing far greater harm than good for the poor lebanese. The Conservatives, like them or not, have at least taken a position on the issue. The previous government of Canada would have been so busy trying to appease everybody, nobody would know where they stood. Thus nobody would be offended, there the secret of their political success.
The Conservatives at least have a principle or two that you can find.
As for Hezbollah, yes, they bought their way into the hearts, minds, and communities of the Shia of south Lebanon. I think the people of south Lebanon are paying the price for not being a little more carefull who they let represent them.

the sad part is it'll be years to get back to the status quo. Until this broke out support in Lebanon for Hezbollah as a militia was on its way out.
