Hezbollah is the biggest charitable donor to poor Lebanese. They contribute to a total of five of the biggest charities there. For every 1 Hezbollah killed, thousands are recruited. Good luck with that whole terrorism thing!
I am so sick of these terrorist sympathizers! So what are you trying to say that we should applaud terrorists and suicide bombers such as hamas and hezbollah? Do you not understand that these sickos are purposely firing rockets and hiding amongst civilian populations? They are doing far greater harm than good for the poor lebanese. If they really wanted to help the poor lebanese they would return the kidnapped soldiers and stop the rocket attacks.

That won't happen. Do you want to know why?

They are terrorists whose soul purpose and reason for existence is the complete and entire destruction of Israel.

Hezbollah hasn't used a suicide bomber since 1989.

Sorry you are right that is hamas expertise.
Hezbollah just engages in kidnappings and periodic rocket attacks.

Thanks for the heads up.

You really are become a slight irritant.

The Conservatives, like them or not, have at least taken a position on the issue. The previous government of Canada would have been so busy trying to appease everybody, nobody would know where they stood. Thus nobody would be offended, there the secret of their political success.

The Conservatives at least have a principle or two that you can find.

As for Hezbollah, yes, they bought their way into the hearts, minds, and communities of the Shia of south Lebanon. I think the people of south Lebanon are paying the price for not being a little more carefull who they let represent them.

A call for an immediate ceasefire IS a position, just not the one everybody wants to hear.

Okay.

A call for an immediate ceasefire achieves nothing...............the status quo was completely unacceptable.

In case you forget, we as Canadians had listed Hezbollah as a terrorist organization back in 2002. This was before the election of the Conservative Party of Canada. The global war on terror is and should be supported across all party lines as no one wants to side with the terrorists.

pretty damn macho, dontcha think?

the sad part is it'll be years to get back to the status quo. Until this broke out support in Lebanon for Hezbollah as a militia was on its way out.

Are you suggesting that the Pals should resist Zionism? The Israeli's have a God sanctioned right to the land (God told them it was thiers), how dare anyone resist God's chosen people?

No, the Pals should "bend over" and say thank you.

A video explains all:

/sarcasm.

[quote="shannon"]. The Hezbollah terrorists started this conflict and Israel has every right to go after them.
[quote]

No, it started a long long time ago, and to invoke this little piece of Condoleeza Rice rhetoric is to choose to forget that Israel has ever commited an act of war before this.

These two warring sides have got so much revenge allready stored up that to say it is starting NOW, at the point where your favorite side starts the shooting again, is not being reasonable. Israel and Palestine cannot solve their dispute with military force, thats been proven over and over.

All who support either sides right to shoot and kill is merely playing into the hands of weapons makers and others who profit from this ongoing war. Maybe that is the main reason the war is still going on, I don't doubt it.
