
I remember working with the FST, which was something like 13.5%, and was a royal pain to administer.
I think the GST is a far better system.

Any GST reduction is meant to benefit the wealthy only.

I do remenber that the Lying Liberals wanted to increase the GST. I would like to understand how that would help the "low/middle income earners" that are being stomped on by lowering the GST.

I would think that the lower income earners, not paying income tax, would have little to no effect on increased federal government debt and the higher deficit. If they are not paying income tax, they do not support the debt and deficit that they governments are creating now. Why are the government spending more that they are getting in. That is a very complicated question and there are a lot of arguments on both sides of the debate. I would like some explanation that lowering the GST helps the "High income earners ONLY." Let's hear from Citizen, it is his/her rule.
