Fourty-Five Degrees South East.
An Angle Straight to Hell.
I guess I could be classified as a "true socialist" by definition, since I believe above all else, true peace may only be achieved when a government is under complete dictatorship of the proletariat. In sticking to this belief, I often find my views much different than that of common "left-wing" philosophies which I rarely am able to perceive as anything more than attempts at culling partisan votes.
With that said, I will breifly state I think the entire idea of Quebec separating is ridiculous, and I do not personally approve of the majority of Chretien's former methods of leadership.
Now let us get on to business. It is the following quote I read on an Internet message board, and I have heard many times before, that inspired me to write this article.
"Unfortunately PM Chretien refused to help out in Gulf War (2) to ensure his legacy will be that of a coward"
It bothers me a great deal that one would consider the choice not to spread violence "an act of cowardice". A violence, we all know was ultimately only necessary as yet another medium for sucking up to North America's Emperor, the United States of America . One with the will to make such a virtuous decision as did Chretien, avoiding violence at all costs, would also be aware of the inevitability of future right-wing scrutiny and criticism he would soon have been subjected to as a consequence. Right-wings, despite the fact we live in Canada, have a far greater significant influence on our Country, which is obviously reflective of conditions in the rest of the Continent and the World, than any self proclaiming "left wing" organization. For one to continue on regardless of this, shows great courage. For one to so blatantly say "NO" to a super power of such great magnitude, shows great courage and for that alone, .Jean Chrétien earned my respect. Not as a leader, or a polititian, but as a man.
Now, in a time where many are arguing and bickering over the insignificant, let's look at the big picture. Why are things so screwed up? ... What do we do? ...
The "left wing" philosophies that have been plaguing this Country, as well as much of the world, while posing as "socialism" are no better than certain malevolent ways of capitalism. Current "Left-wingers" should not even be called "Left", since they in no way truely benefit the proletariat in the long run, and infact detriment the proletariat in many ways. If anything, they should be called "Down wingers" since down symbolizes the direction to hell, which is supposedly still a common beleif in this country. Even the often overlooked negative effects of "politcally correctness" which is so intensely pushed by the current so called "left", have a huge detrimental effect on the proletariat, who often because of their communities, parents, friends etc are not able to conform to "politically correct" ridiculousness even if they wanted to as a means to financial gain.
Financial gain, which thanks to capitalist greed, has now become synonymous with meritocracy. I find it a hilarious display of ignorance, that the same wealthy individuals who claim "some of the poorest people they have met are truly free and happy", use their perception of "meritocracy" as an attempt to justify why they so conveniently perceive a huge gap between classes as acceptable.
Democracy must go, at least indirect democracy must go, and high level University Education must be free to all citizens. Thus, the wealthy class would no longer also be the "intellectual" class, or at least the proportions would be more balanced, and so along with great strategic planning, manipulation of the masses will decrease, the balance of power can progressively shift peacefully into what can create a truly secure and peaceful nation.
Anyway, that sums it up for now, but in writing this I came to think how close the opinions of those who believe in capitalism and democracy, and those who believe in socialism and communal living, really are, despite their different views of materialism. Without their greed, we would be no different. It is the current illusion of a "Left Wing" organization that is clouding the minds of the masses with the irrelevent. The reality is, there is currently NO left, but only a right, and a down. On a compass that would balance out to about 45 Degrees SE..
