Well we are a free country. We have more freedoms than America and the rest world. We have elections, females and miniorities can vote, we are free to travel anywhere in the world, we have freedom of religion and the list goes on.
I agree.

We all bitch about the various levels of governments many times in our lives and we are happy and unhappy with some of their policies, but saying Canada is a dictatorship is very wrong.
Although dictatorship maybe not be the exact word, we may need to modernized the word by including "not having tangible choice". I think we can also point out that when we vote every 4 years, we are giving the FULL POWER of our country in really few hands. They are allowed to do what they want for 4 years. It's kind of the modern dictatorship, every 4 years you elect the next 4-year-dictator. Look at recent history and tell me if you like that idea.
In todays context, and interesting one, we have a minority government. In a perfect world, it would stay like that, but I doubt we live in that world yet. And recent ermmamericanerm history (ours too!) tells us that there is a big place for exageration and perversity when it comes down to black and white, with no gray.

There is nowhere else in the World I would want to live other than Canada. Some people do not realize how lucky we have it here. The positives greatly outweigh the few negatives.
Saying to Canadians that they should be feeling lucky for living here is pretending that they are ignorants. If we look at the ways we could help the countrys that are in need, given what i've said above, would it be a great message to tell them it's possible to live in gray? Not just black and white, good or evil, rich or poor? Aren't we mature enough to know what's good and what's evil and just move on in the gray?
