Should Canada Become the 52nd State?

So the news tonight announces in a very small blurb that Canada. US and Mexico will release the details of the new plan

North America United. This will abolish tarriff's. Create checkpoints not border crossings. Norad protection for all and a few other tidbits.

The official release is scheduled for a few days from now. I'd have thought this would have been BIG news.

Well it sounds more like US control over Canada and Mexico.

I thought Free Trade was suppose to cut back on duties and Tariffs? But that only worked when it was conveinent for the Americans.

Creating checkpoints? ha ha That sounds absurd.

Must of been some pretty bored and over paid bureaucrats who came up with that.

I sure hope Canada does not fall for that. We do not need to be more closely tied (read:controlled) to the Americans. We should branch out and rely less on them. Especially how they have mistreated us on everything from Beef to Lumber.

I must watch for that story tonight on the news.

Well No1. It sounds like Canada was all for it. As was Mexico.

Try channel 11 Global. It should be on there again tonight.

Let me know if you get something different out of it then I did. Cause from the shortness of the segment I was wondering if maybe I'd imagined the whole thing and it was actually about Aunt Milie's cat having given birth or something equally mundane.

They are trying to keep it quiet. -- is working on an action to publicize it. There should be postcards etc available shortly. They are currently looking for a -- or two.

In the meantime, get a hold of your MP, the PMO, and the leaders of all of the parties and scream bloody murder.

In 1721 Acadie was succeeded to the English who renamed it Nova Scotia and decided it was alright for the French settlers to live there as "French Neutrals" until 1755 when we were told to leave and NEVER COME BACK!

Finding our way to the Former French colony of Louisiana we found a warm climate and JURRASIC PARK are where we watched the flags change from France to Spain back to France and then to the US when Mr. Bonaparte "sold" it to the US for 15 million and some change.

Moral of the story, flags change from time to time, life goes on.

Acadiens have lived under 7 masters since our arrival in the New World. We wern't asked about being a state or province, who would want to be anyhow?

Puerto Rico hsa the best deal, No Federal Income taxes but all the federal money they can stand!

Dear Newbie:

They are taking our country down. Read the Hansards. Prime Minister Paul Martin has appointed John Manley to NEGOTIATE "deep integration" of Canada with the USA. This is BEHIND the backs of Canadians and despite their will to remain Canadian. Clearly, Canadians are not in charge of our Government. We have been infiltrated and seized by a supranational, transnational Foreign Power by the name of Bilderberg. All our political leaders in ALL our parties, plus a bunch more adherents, are members of Bilderberg. Read Paul Hellyer's book, Goodbye-Canada, and find out that Bilderberg members are required (a) NOT to admit they are members; (b) to DENY that policy for their country is set at Bilderberg; (c) to IMPLEMENT ONLY Bilderberg policy once they have suckered Canadians into voting them into office.

Here's some Hansard you should read. Search the page for the term "deep integration" or scroll down to Canada-U.S. Relations:

--

--

Does anyone in Canada read our Constitution? Here are a few key pointers:

1) Senators and Members are AUTOMATICALLY disqualified for treason, which is defined as:

"If he takes an Oath or makes a Declaration or Acknowledgment of Allegiance, Obedience, or Adherence to a Foreign Power, or does an Act whereby he becomes a Subject or Citizen, or entitled to the Rights or Privileges of a Subject or Citizen, of a Foreign Power"

NOW THINK: (i) USA = Foreign Power; (ii) "deep integration" = "doing an Act whereby we become subjects or citizens of a Foreign Power"

THINK AGAIN: (i) INDCIPIENT FOREIGN STATE OF QUEBEC = Foreign Power; (ii) SEPARATION / SECESSION = "doing an Act whereby we become subjects or citizens of a Foreign Power"

CONCLUSION: those who are DOING these "Acts" in our Government are self-discharged from elected office for TREASON.

Here's another point to consider:

Bilderberg meetings are top secret and those who run them have been able to get COMPLETE MEDIA BLACKOUT on their agenda for over 50 years now. That agenda has ALWAYS included taking down Canada.

NOW, THINK: Canada's Constitution Act, 1982 says:

"Democratic Rights
Democratic rights of citizens
3. Every citizen of Canada has the right to vote in an election of members of the House of Commons or of a legislative assembly and to be qualified for membership therein."

A fundamental condition for a "democratic" vote is that the voter be ENLIGHTENED on the issues and the candidates. It is de facto OBVIOUS that a 50-year MEDIA BLACKOUT hiding the real agenda of secret non-governmental Bilderberg meetings in which Canadian political and governmental leaders PARTICIPATE BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, and on which they REFUSE TO REPORT to CANADIANS, fully vitiates the "democratic vote". WHY: because they plan to take down Canada and merge it into the United States of America to make a single CONTINENTAL STATE under US Military control. Canadians did not vote for that. Those who are doing this are committing TREASON.

I think it's time we got NEW VOCABULARY to understand our situation. These people are not our leaders, they are OPERATIVES of a supranational, transnational FOREIGN POWER.

These people are not "in office," they are "invading office" and need to be REMOVED. One legal means of doing this is the prerogative writ of Quo Warranto. It would work, you know, if you could find a JUDGE who hadn't been appointed to HIS office by these same people we need to throw out.

Search the Parliamentary site for key words: NORTHCOM, for example, and you will learn that Paul Martin and his gang are also planning to remove the Canadian border, and substitute US Military for Canadian miltiary and police. Over objections in the House, and with no pertinent explanation, they have already REDUCED BY 1,000 PERSONS the RCMP border guard along the US border with Quebec. This tells me they expect to take Quebec OUT of Canada very very soon, which is the ONLY excuse they have to DISSOLVE THE LEGAL IDENTITY OF THIS COUNTY, leaving all of this country and our 30 million citizens sitting ducks for US absorption.

Remember, we DIDN'T vote for this. We DON'T HAVE TO LET THEM DO IT. We could THROW THEM OUT, if we really wanted to.

Now Alice,

I have no doubt that many things are discussed at Bilderberg conferences that would frighten the hell out of any of us that wish for peace and equality in our time...

But here's the problem that I have:

The Bilderberg conferences have been held every year for 50 years, and you have stated that taking down Canada has always been their goal...and so my question is: Why haven't they been able to affect that before now?

And as to members from all of Canada's political parties being members: I don't recall ever reading the names of a member of the NDP or Bloc Quebecois on their guest lists...

Mind you, it is possible, because the lists are compiled from those who are seen either entering or leaving the buildings where the conferences are held...so they may have been able to sneak in unseen...but that is not a circumstance that I feel falls within the realm of probability...

By the way, I agree with you that our elected leaders should all be rounded up and tried for treason...at least as far back as Mulroney...

I like teasing my American friends by pointing out that if Canada, with a population approximatley the same size as the largest state in the Union (California), was the 51st state, Al Gore would have won the presidency in 2000 regardless of the final result in Florida, and there would not have been a "President George W Bush".

No WAY!

And if Canada ever does get annexed by the US, I'll be on a plane to England ASAP.

Thankyou shamus11. That is one of your little poems that should be on the front of every newpaper in Canada.

The answer to the thread title is NO!

I never did see any bright side with Canada joining with the States, but that definetly is a positive outlook if that were to happen. At least for back then, Imagine a world with no Bush...

If canada were to amalgamate with the US now, I see no benefit whatsoever.

Why on earth would Canada want to "amalgamate" with the US??

Why would CA want to do any of this and then become the target of the same anger , that the US is??? Sheesh. A no brainer. Business as usual .......but not too cozy ....

For the most part there is a pretty good relationship between the two countries. (unless the bush goons open their mouth)

Nasty bunch that they are.

isn't the idea to work together as a team??? and NO, that does not mean do everything the USG way.or whatever the US decides to do in its current deluded mind. Reciprocity, cooperation.......and some genuine give and take.......as in any healthy relationship.

Not sure why anyone would even bring up such a question.....unless it is just for idle "entertainment"

Actually, this idea, if it has any merit, sounds a lot like Europe, a lot of countries, but not a lot of real border crossings as we know it. However, I would caution everyone to get all the facts first before going off half cocked on a tangent that leads nowhere. Do not just take the word of your supporters, go and get the other sides opinion, even if you don't like the other side.

I will be paying attention to the news tonight, though, and if anyone else hears anything, please post?

Idealistic...Yes...But I don't see it as a bad idea at all.

Cosmo, I read your initial post, and found your points quite interesting. Something to think about, that is for sure.

We are already on that slippery slope, with politicians like Harper wanting to slaughter poor defenceless Iraqis because the U.S. does. We have a spineless Federal Government unwilling to stand for our cattle industry, our lumber industry or the human rights of our own citizens.

There would certainly be advantages to both sides if this so-called merger would ever occur.

For obvious reasons, Canada would benefit more than the US (would gain a super power miltary force, US currency, lower taxes ...etc).

The US would get more territory (prime territory at that) naturally allowing it to become even more powerful.

Yes well, one thing Canadians and Americans agree on, neither one wants that to happen.

According to the Pew Research center, 19% of Americans favor it and 21% of Canadians do the same. Give or take a point or two I'm doing this from memory.

Mom, it's not really paranoia if they're really after you!

I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. NWO? That was a wrestling team in the WCW and the WWF

There is a reality in the world today that the left seems to want to run and hide from, close borders, and think that everything will be fine if Suzuki leads us all in a rousing chorus or Kumbaya, all the while puffing on an environmentally friendly doob. Sorry if I don't buy into your misguided concepts, but I wish you well in your own little world. I prefer the real world, not the pretend world you live in.
