Author and Canadian Patriot Mel Hurtig will be coming to the Vancouver suburb of New Westminster.
The author of the stirring read, The Vanishing Country - Is It Too Late To Save Canada? - will be speaking at the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
The event is being hosted by the Council of Canadians o*n September 12 2003 at 730 PM. Entrance will be by donation and there is plenty of parking available.
Leading off the evening will be a speech by BC Regional Coordinator Claudia Medina-Culos. A live to tape presentation by Maude Barlow from the Cancun round of the WTO meetings will be an interesting addition. Mel Hurtig will then round out the evening, including taking questions from those in attendance.

Members of the Canadian Democratic Movement will be there as will other various political and activist groups. These meetings are the early footsteps of a campaign to spread information before the next Federal Election. Canadians need to understand this next election is the make it or break it one for Canada.
Paul Martin is going to sell Canada and everything we hold dear to the highest bidder. Paul Martin is a traitor in a $1000 suit.

If Mel speaks in your neck of the woods make sure to stop by and take part. He has crunched all the stats, numbers, polls and quotes from all kinds of sources and his arguement is sound.
We are being sold out by our banks, business leaders and inept politicians. There are traitors among us and they hate Canada.

He was inspiring when he was here even though he was sick as a dog.
Oh yeh! Drop by www.canadians.org - he is a founding member and they sponser his speaches from time to time - including the one here in Vancouver. Maybe they will post times and dates as well.

If you want to stay on top of Mel Hurtig events in your neck of the woods I suggest two things:
Drop by our partners website at vivelecanada.ca and subscribe to Mel's email list at - lgrisley@shaw.ca In order to be added just send an email to that address with the subject line exactly as follows:

Mel Hurtig has an exciting new book coming about missile defence. The name is escaping me at the moment but it is something like The Rush to Armegeddon.
