Approximately six weeks ago, there was a documentary shown on CBC. This program stated that Canada as well as other countries of the world had until the end of this year (2003) to sonar map territory that we claim around our shores. Failing to do this leaves it open to such countries as the USA or Russia to lay claim to our territory.
If this is true, has the mapping been done and if not, why not? 8
With the frame of mind that the USA seems to have these days, it would give them much joy to grab possible oil rich Northern shores from us - the lowly Canadians.
Let’s not give the Americans anymore of our country. Let’s put an end to their dictating to us as to what we are or are not to do. It seems that we are giving in to the USA on too many fronts.
Is it true or not? If it is international law, are we going to comply by the end of the year?

Ahah! I could so see the americans trying to take more chunks of land from us. Its so normal to see the americans claim land here and there building their empire. With Bush, anything is possible and probable too.
As long as they are governed by a bunch of greedy corporate war mongers, the United States will always be a threat to the world.
