Stephen Bronfman, a billionaire, is currently campaigning with Montreal's Mayor, ex-Liberal Denis Coderre, for the return of Major League Baseball to Montreal and the construction (with taxpayers money) of a new baseball stadium downtown. Stephen Bronfman's father had sold the team decades ago, pocketing a nice amount and now the son wants the taxpayers to give him a new team while his family keeps the money.

Stephen Bronfman is also part of the committee for the 375th anniversary of Montreal, a committee chaired by France Chretien-Deamarais (daughter of former PM Jean Chretien) , wife of Andre Desmarais CEO of Power Corporation.

Stephen Bronfman is also friends with PM Justin Trudeau, in 2013 he was collecting funds for Trudeau leadership race, gathering $2 million. Later he was nominated Chair of the finance committee of the Liberal party, managing to find by himself $16 million for the 2015 electoral campaign, the biggest amount the Liberal party has ever collected for an entire year.

Stephen Bronfman was also the only person invited at the White house, outside of Trudeau's family, when Obama gave a reception in JT's honor.

Just add to that the fact that former PM Jean Chretien, Paul Martin and other high profile Liberal have been sitting on the board of administrators of Power Corp and you should be able to understand why JT is not going to vote for something that could reduce the profits of Power Corp or the Bronfman or force them to pay corporate taxes.
If you still looking wondering...

All these people are friends, they elect each other on various committee, not for the money but because it gives them influence and allows them to always be "on top" of the latest news. They scratch each other's back so they can "keep the money within NOBLE families"...

You can't talk about the Liberal party without seeing the shadow of Power Corp and the Bronfman family on the wall. They are like a bad rash, you just can't go anywhere without finding a paw tracks of those rich families all over the place, they own everything and what they don't own, they bankrupt.

Rich corporate fortunes run the Liberal party. So don't hold your breath hoping the Liberal party will come to your help if you aren't connected...
