She is one of two top aides to former Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty facing high-profile criminal charges in Ontario

VICTORIA -- Premier Christy Clark’s B.C. Liberal party has rehired its executive director, who is facing criminal charges in Ontario.

Laura Miller stepped down from the party job in December after being charged with breach of trust and mischief for an alleged role in the destruction of email records in Ontario’s gas plant scandal. She has yet to go to trial.

Premier Clark, who defended Miller after she was charged, issued a statement Thursday in support of rehiring her.

“It’s the fair and right approach — one that respects our court process, including the fundamental principle that every person is innocent unless proven otherwise,” Clark said in a statement.

Miller was deputy chief of staff to Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty until 2013. Also charged is former McGuinty chief of staff David Livingston.

The decision to rehire Miller was one made unanimously by the Liberal party executive, said deputy premier Rich Coleman, who is also the party’s election readiness chairman.

That's a tough one.
Imprisoned in B.C and for torture you have to listen to tapes of Christy Clark's speeches.
Ontario and it is Wynne's speeches.
Either way she will wish Canada still had the death penalty.
