Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sat down with Global News for an end of year interview airing Christmas Day, which also happens to be his 44th birthday.
Unlike most everyone else born throughout the year, Christmas babies have to celebrate their birthdays on a day that is already special for something else.
While families who celebrate Christmas may gather around the tree to open presents in the morning and at the table for dinner in the evening, it’s not necessarily the best day to host a birthday party.

Being a Christmas baby is one thing, but what are the odds you’ll have to share your birthday with a sibling on Christmas Day?
That’s the case for the prime minister and younger brother Alexandre Trudeau, who was born on Christmas Day 1973 and turns 42 this year.
But the Trudeau brothers are in good company: musician Annie Lennox, actress Sissy Spacek, the legendary Humphrey Bogart and Sir Isaac Newton are all in the Christmas baby club as well.
