Something that I've beeb doing since 2000, instead of just filing my tax papers into my metal file cabinet. I've been recording the gross income, and total taxes paid into a spreadsheet.

If I look back to my tax bill at the end of the Liberal empire, and I compare it to what I paid last year, my family tax bill has gone down $7200 per year, while my gross income has grown 15.7%.

I don't have any special investments so I'm assuming that anyone that wants to dust off their paperwork might find similar numbers.

Wouldn't be fair for me to compare since I am earning so much more now than when the Liberals were in power. In fact my tax bill this year will be about my gross when Martin left office.
