Hither and yon
In two years we go to the polls.
If Harper looses or wins a minority he will step down.
Who will replace him?

Rex Murphy: a talking head, skilled writer and a master of earthy Maritime common sense. No.

Conrad Black: rich as stink, a brilliant writer, internationally recognized academic and historian, convicted criminal. No.

John Manley: an ex-Liberal who is far too principled to hitch his cart to a lightweight like Justin, highly skilled, highly experienced, internationally respected, a bit of a nerd. Would make a competent although left leaning leader of the CPC.

Peter MacKay: wants the job, cute, experienced, a bit dim, has a good looking, popular and internationally recognized wife who is socially leftist leaning. Not qualified for the job.

John Baird: No.

Maxime Bernier: No.

Jason Kenney: wants the job, brilliant politician, experienced and successful in difficult portfolio’s, a western right wing reformer. Would make a competent but right wing leader of the CPC.

Jim Prentice: wants the job, smart, successful, a well liked and highly skilled negotiator, another westerner, slightly left leaning. A bit of a wild card but still capable of making an all inclusive and agreeable leader of the CPC.

Mark Carney: would like the the job, successful and brilliant academic, internationally recognized, left leaning. Probably not.

Frank McKenna: would like the job, rich, smart, successful, experienced, a tough guy, another maritimer. Capable of running the CPC but would be another hard *** leader like Harper.

James Moore. No

Jean Charest. No

Preston Manning. No

My pick’s: MacKay vs Prentice vs Kenney with hopefully Prentice winning.
