Apparently we don't live in Canada anymore.

'Harper Canada' Appears On Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency Press Release

OTTAWA - Oh Harper Canada, our home and native land?

It could have been a post-budget typo, or a cut-and-paste accident, but one government agency briefly rebranded the country "Harper Canada."

A news release from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency that was posted online carried the all-caps headline: "HARPER CANADA INVESTS IN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR MUNICIPALITY OF ARGYLE."

Here Prime Minister Hit...sorry Harper speaks before a crowd of adoring PARTY faithful.

Adolf Hitler Speech - YouTube

He talks of how all Harper Canadians should feel grateful for the privilege of living in his country, those who don't feel suitably grateful may soon have the opportunity to spend time at special "vacation" camps he's contemplating building.

Oh for crying out loud, another one who likens Harper to Hitler. Good grief, you people need to come up with some new material. Oh and while you're at it, try dealing with reality. Harper is not Hitler. No one in the Liberal party is Stalin. Get a grip.

Yup! It is silly. Harpo is still alive. Although fascist he is not, his secrecy and lack of transparency does invoke all sorts of conspiracy theories from those who think they know what is going on. Me, I just think he is a schmuck.

Hey I think government, all governments, need to be accountable and transparent. But I cannot for the life of me see where reducing everything to such extreme rhetoric, on either side of the spectrum, gets anyone anywhere. It turns any and all political discussion into a pissing match, nothing more. And I'm really, really, tired of it to be quite honest with you.

Politics is a pissing match. It is worse than watching professional sports.... and about as meaningful.

It's only a pissing match because we let it be one. I used to discuss politics all the time. We didn't have quiet dinners, they were loud and with robust challenges, lol. But I've never seen the like as what goes on here though. The hissy fits, the whining and grand, grand exaggerations. It's stupid and it's childish.

Transparency eh? Wanna know what he's hiding?

All time highs in Socialist spending using in situ resources and P3 deals to pay for it with options to buy back as Crown assets all according to a neither Left or Right plan set up when you still had most your teeth, hair and a sperm count still in the millions.

It is silly to compare Harper to a first class economic planner like Hitler. Our armed forces certainly won't identify with the comparison either. The Northern most region of Fortress North America is sometimes still called Canada by older people.

A shifty eyed, sneaky schmuck.
The United Nations has responded to Canada's withdrawal from a UN convention that fights the spread of droughts, calling the pullout "regrettable."

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has said Canada was withdrawing from the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification because the program has proven too bureaucratic.

He has said less than one-fifth of the $350,000 Canada contributes to the convention goes to programming, while Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird called the entire process a "talkfest" that does a disservice to Canadian taxpayers.

But in a press release issued on Friday, the convention secretariat based in Bonn, Germany, said the convention is the only legally binding instrument addressing desertification and drought and pointed out that Canada itself is "frequently subjected to drought."

The UN body also said the convention is "stronger that ever before" making Canada's decision to withdraw from it "all the more regrettable."

The UNCCD says Canada is believed to have played a significant role in the convention's progress and added that it believed Canada would "seize every opportunity to sustain the implementations of the convention for the good of present and future generations."
While spending million and millions on obsolete war planes we can't afford $350,000?

I'll join the air force if it's Spitfires.

So would I. The Spitfire is one of the aircraft I would like to have flown, along with the Sopwith Camel and
the ME 109. These are aircraft in which men pitted themselves against other equally skilled men in their
efforts to kill each other.
