Don't mention it.

Interim Liberal Leader Bob Rae prepares to leave political spotlight

OTTAWA — Bob Rae doesn’t want any elaborate thanks or tributes when he steps down as interim Liberal leader in April.
“Nothing exaggerated,” says Rae.

When asked how he wants Liberals to look back on his temporary, two-year tenure, Rae says he’ll be satisfied if he is regarded as the man “who kept us in the game … that’s what I was asked to do.”

Nor is Rae looking for any special job when the new leader takes over in mid-April.

“I’ll be a critic like everybody else or a spokesman for particular issue,” says Rae, who’s remaining officially neutral in the contest.

“It’s really important for the new leader to establish his or her stamp and not to be deferential to me or anybody else. I’m certainly happy to give my advice whenever I’m asked to, but I don’t intend to be a doting uncle sitting around saying ‘don’t do this’ and ‘do it my way.’”

I agree with Retired Canadian Soldier on this one.
Also keeping in mind he was never my favorite person in politics even his
record is being reviewed to reflect the time we were living in. Most people
don't realize that Rae Days as they were called, are something of a real
discovery to States south of the Boarder than ran into financial trouble.
Several States temporarily adopted versions of Rae days for public sector
workers.
All kinds of things went wrong and the NDP of the day dabbled in too many
things and got themselves in trouble. It should be noted in Saskatchewan
for example the NDP were praised for continued balanced budgets. Not in
Ontario though.

It should also be remembered that the previous Liberal Government left Ontario in one hell of a mess before the NDP.

Kind of how the McGuinty is leaving the province of Ontario.

Perhaps now the Liberal party can start to move back towards the center. Unless the fools elect Just in as leader. Then the party will race off into left space never to be heard from again.
