Seinfeld fan Stephen Harper has recommended Frank Costanza’s “serenity now!” relaxation technique to NDP Leader Thomas Mulcair following a heated Question Period.
“A message to @ThomasMulcair after today’s QP. Merry Christmas and serenity now,” the prime minister tweeted.
“Serenity now” is a reference to Costanza’s attempt to lower his blood pressure using misunderstood advice from a relaxation cassette tape — instead of calmly murmuring the “serenity now” mantra under stress, he yells it.
