For 12-year-old Simran Sarai, who is battling leukemia, the chance to meet Stephen Harper in Vancouver Tuesday was a pretty big thrill.
The prime minister was in town to announce new eligibility for employment insurance for families of desperately ill children, a move that is expected to help about 6,000 families a year.
It was just another stop in Harper’s feel-good swing across the country, with his wife Laureen alongside.
