What's up with the sale of Nexen to CNOOC? You know that China doesn't love you like your Uncle Sam.
CNOOC has been a part owner of Nexen for around 11 years.
Sorry. This is what I'm referring to:
China's CNOOC set to buy Canadian energy giant Nexen for $15.1 billion | The Vancouver Observer
The Long Lake project in the Athabasca Oil Sands, a joint venture of Nexen Inc. and CNOOC, was initiated in 2001. It was started in order to develop the Long Lake site using steam assisted gravity drainage and the OrCrude process for on-site upgrading. Nexen and CNOOC have a 65/35 split in all project production and operating costs. Production capacity at Long Lake is 72,000 barrels of bitumen per day (47,000 bbls/d net to Nexen) which, when upgraded, is capable of generating approximately 58,500 barrels per day (37,000 bbls/d net to Nexen). External estimates place the approximate reserves at the Long Lake site at 318,000,000 m3. Nexen is the operator of Long Lake.[5]
I have zero qualms about Chinese purchases. They prepay and invest beyond the oil fields. How do you like the shiny new Port Mann bridge? We'll just take their money for now then in a few years PM Trudeau will nationalize it for pennies on the dollar.
Oh you get all the love you need.Well, I can't blame the Canadians for doing business.
We're just sad the Canadians don't love us any more. jk

Couldn't have anything to do with your constant attempts to steal our resources and renege on trade agreements could it?
