What I would like to see in Canada

How would you feel if we in Canada...

- Ended all aboriginal government departments and cancelled all treaties, and use the military to deal with the riots Reagan style
- Ended all permanent welfare for those capable of working (only the severely disabled or mentally handicapped would receive it)
- Temporary unemployment less than 6 months, with tight regulations to limit waste
- Cut back sharply on the government work force, which is highly inefficient -- allow the private sector to compete
- Eradicate public health care and introduce a private hospital system, which would lower costs. Citizens could buy health insurance, and others who couldn't get health insurance could take out a loan from the government to pay down their operation over many years
- Set the corporate tax rate at 0%, which would highly encourage business and it would explode GDP growth, reduce unemployment, lower costs, etc.
- Cut income taxes across the board, and set a flat tax rate of 10%
- Set capital gains tax at 0% for all transactions
- 50% cuts to social services
- End public education and introduce voucher system, where students would attend private school -- but if they couldn't afford it, government would subsidize them.
- Encourage lots of immigration of highly educated foreigners, and discourage international students coming here for their education so they can head back to their own countries.
- Increase military spending 200%

The budget would be balanced, we wouldn't have the need for excessive tax rates because the millions leeching would have to search for employment, and we wouldn't have ineffective and costly health care. The school system would also improve dramatically with competition.

What do you think of my proposal? I know it will antagonize a lot of socialists on here, but I think that this would truly turn Canada into a superpower -- the next United States.

What riots?

We allready screwed the natives on the treaties and there was no riots.

I want to see a poutine stand on every corner in my hometown

A poutine stand on every corner?! Are you trying to get us all killed?

I like my heart just the way it is, thanks!

The First Nations would riot for sure, you don't think so?

Er, maybe. But if so, it would be after we'd effectivaly have declared war by renegging on our treaties without compensation.

Do you know what a treaty is? Do you know what teh word means? How about a simpler word: contract. Do you know what a contract is? Only the mafia reneges on a contract without compensation and thinks it can get away with it.

The government doesn't have to uphold those rights; I would personally cancel them if I had the power to. I'm tired of them taking advantage of the hardworking taxpayers.

Not everything about the US is bad, though while I'd like to adopt the US' strong points, I'd also like to leave its bad points right where they are.

You're right, I would like to see Canada further right than the US. The US is being taken over by the socialist hordes just like Canada and the rest of the world.

Having a contract respected is not a right?

It was an exchange, use of land in exchange for other privileges. If we don't like that, we're certainly free to give the land back, right?

On what grounds could you cancel these treaties? Payments by the government to the First Nations are for property and services rendered. You want to cancel the treaties, then be prepared to cede the whole of Canada back to the First Nations and find somewhere else to live.

They don't have any power; this isn't their land.

Bingo. Like any other contract, if we renege on our trieties, we give back what we gained from them too.

Either that, or we go Nazi style, sign treaties like they did with the Soviets, and just when it doesn't suit us anymore, go out and stab them in the back. Hitler was real good at that.

They don't have any power; this isn't their land.

Just like Poland was not Polish land once the Nazis occupied it because the Nazis could kill anyone who stood in their way via the policy of collective punishment?
