Canadian Flag on Egyptian Yellow Pages Phone Book

Kinda old information, but when I was in Egypt (Cairo) during the Millenium I was searching through my hotel room and found an Egyptian Yellow Pages Book with the Canadian Flag below the Egyptian Flag on the front cover. I found it quite odd, of all the things in the world to find the Maple Leaf Flag in on the Egyptian Yellow Pages Phone Book!

What did Canada do to earn this right? Does anyone know?

Perhaps Canada paid for the phone books, or the guy that made a contribution and took a tax credit happened to have visited Canada long enough to qualify for national health care. Hard to say without more information.

We do have Military personel over there in Egypt....but I don't know if thats why??!?!??!

It's quite possible that the Egyptian Yellow Pages are published by the Canadian company that produces Yellow Pages.
