What I find interesting is the Canadian/Amercian roles that are assumed as if the whole exchange can be defined by news events etc.

I have often had my doubts about this so-called canadian --idol.

He really isnt very intelligent is he.

I think its all those years of drug abuse.
--every junkie is like the setting sun---

He is confused. He wants all the money that comes from defecting to the US--while BEING a Canadian,
he didnt find the heart of gold but the did find the gold

All of which would be somewaht forgivable if his music were halfway decent now.

Old man take a look at your life.

Come on, cortisone guy. Neil Young is one of the few geniuses of rock. I love him. He reminds me that the last 40 years haven't been a waste of time. His music, his lyrics and the haunting melancholy of his perspective are jewels in the tarnished crown of rock. He's spread his wings wide and crosses a number of musical subgenres.
Hey, I like Colbert too but he was lame most of this interview getting in a few laughs near the end. Young will never be old.
