Do you carry a "get home bag" with you to work in case a disaster strikes while you're away from home?

Do you keep extra supplies to help other people?

Has your household discussed a plan in case a disaster strikes?

Myself, I currently have stored for my entire household:

1 week of non-perishable food
1 week of water
lots of propane for cooking
lots of batteries, flashlights, first aid supplies etc.
I carry a few items with me everyday as part of my "get home bag"
I don't have extra supplies to help others right now
I've discussed a plan with my household

I just added a 3gr per hour ozone generator for water purification to my kit just the other day for less than $30..... I can make enough safe water to supply a couple hundred people per day :)

I can easily survive for a week at -30 degrees without power, water, or gas, I have a disaster plan and supplies and a room in the house I can isolate and keep warm.

Got lime for you poop bucket?

I ask that to everyone who says they are set up to stay at home. Most have no idea why or say they never thought of a poop bucket.

Actually im not that well prepared.... I have fishing supplies and fishing skill to last awhile.... I know the forest like an Aboriginal... As long as i can keep fishing, which should be easy to do in Northern ontario then im fine.... But if i had to hunker down in the house id have to resort to guerrilla warfare... :(

Fishing is too much work when you can buy a bag of beans and leguemes. You won't make many friends walking around with fish in your pockets.

Still, when the object is to keep people AWAY from you, fish will do fine. Consuming a huge amount of beans might have the same effect as fishy pockets.:fart:

1lb of dried beans will get you 10X as far as 1lb of fish.

Got 50 lb. of dried beans. Got a full pantry of canned and dried stuff. 100 + gal. of water. Coleman stove. Fuel. Wood stove. Wood. Gun.
Might keep us going for a bit.

There was an ad for a sporterized Enfield, locally. Missed it by a day.

When the Chinese hordes come, none of this will make any difference.
