I eat better all the time. My children eat better than when I was their age. What's the point of this thread?

That most people are not only oblivious to what is coming but are completely unprepared for it.

Thanks for explaining the images, Cliffy........... guess my brain hasn't quite woken up yet this morning as I didn't get it either.

As to the question, so far so good but I don't know what will happen in the long term as prices seem to jump from week to week. I've also noticed that many items that were once available on the grocery shelves are disappearing to be replaced by more generic products such as store brands. In some cases, entire sections on the shelves are being taken over by one or two companies at the most and this lack of competition really bothers me. Anyone still able to buy Squirrel peanut butter? It hasn't been on our shelves for a long time now.

And yet, when Glenn Beck encouraged people to stock up, he was reviled and declared an idiot, a doomsayer and a religious nutbar, among other not so complimentary epithets. Mind you, only by those who never bothered to watch his show and swallowed the left-wing nonsense hook, line and sinker.

Well the price of Avocados has doubled in the past month but I probably don't need them anyway-they are something of an indulgence.

Do you know what Glen Becks biggest short coming is and why people think he's loopy? Because he's Glen Beck and he is loopy.

And of course, you are not loopy. Mainly because you are not a best-selling author of several books. You are not loopy, because you do not have a highly successful radio show. You are not loopy, because you never had the influence to gather tens of thousands of people in one place who support your views. You are not loopy, because you never had a TV show that commanded an audience at supper time, that most shows would envy in prime time. And of course you are not loopy, because you are not a self-made millionaire.

Pity poor, loopy Glenn Beck. Glory to non-loopy petros!

Glen Beck became very successful at selling BS. That says more about his audience.

At least Petros grows and sells grain - a useful product.

Selling BS, you are an undisputed superior of Glenn Beck. The only difference is that he made money doing it.

I am sure petros will be very appreciative of you carrying his water. Or grain bucket.

Maybe he will pay you minimum wage for doing it.

Does Glen pay you for being his PR guy? He should. He certainly can afford it.

Petros could probably fertilize all his crops with the amount of BS Beck shovels.

Yes, he could.

Could petros pay you for being his water carrier?

I do it as a free service, something a capitalist wouldn't understand.

Would you consider volunteering, such as devoting two weeks of six weeks of vacation time to organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Appalachian Service Project?

Because I did that every year from 1993 till 2007.

I know that pales in comparison to what anarchists do, but I try to live with the shame.

Glen Beck is the FOX version of Alex Jones. His writers have even copied Alex Jones shows nearly verbatim. It's hillarious.

The difference between Becks books and bull**** is after two weeks bull**** dries up and doesn't stink anymore.

It's not that great of a fertilizer either.

If you want cash under the table work I'll pay $20 an hour to drive the grain truck come Aug/Sept/Oct. Meals included.

How about you YukonJack? Can you drive a 10 tonne? If the humidity is good I'll put you to work from 7AM to 12AM.

Is Beck looking for work? I'll hire both of you. Between the two of you you should be able to do the work of one real man.

Not only do you eat my food, YukonJack you also make make good revenues in MB from my work finding minerals. Odds are damn good your car or home appliances have some of my copper in it or you've burned my oil in it.

But that's okay. Beck is more important because he copies Alex Jones.

Volunteering. It's a great way to get tax credits and meet people.

petros, I could not care less how people view Glenn Beck, as long as they view him FAIRLY. The last I heard he is NOT looking for work, he is moving to Texas, and reportedly his new digs are quite comfortable. As for me, I retired in 2003, the company offered me contract work, but I turned it down, because when I retire, I retire.

If the bread I buy contains grain you grew, I thank you. If my appliances or car contain metals that you produced, again, I thank you. Same for oil.

Just couple more things: Who is Alex Jones? And while I met some wonderful people while volunteering, I never gained a single penny by tax credits for doing so. I may be a capitalist at heart, but not everything I do is for money and/or profit.

Well, Alex Jones is who Beck emulates.

Glenn Beck repackages Alex Jones39 ideas - YouTube

Beck/Jones aside, have you been outside of the city lately YulonJack? I was in WPG this weekend. It was heart breaking to see all the empty fields through Manitoba. That is going to be devistating to the MB economy.

Nice to know that Beck is all stocked up on that processed food he so loves - no wonder the guy's brain is mush.
