I've taken a couple of the recent requests and put them into action on the forums today, live. Here's what's been happening:

- Added page navigation to the top of threads.
- Fixed the "quote this" on pms to a proper "reply to this pm".
- Minor changes to actual post layout.
- I've spent a couple of hours moving around posts from different forums.
- Rearranged the forum layout. I've decided to retire the CBC and CTV feeds. Any threads which anyone showed enough interest to replying to have been moved to In The News.
- In The News now under Club CC.
- Renamed The Lounge to Hot Topics. As requested by many, cutting and pasting is NOT permitted in that forum anymore.
- I've tried to simplify the forums so it's easier to know where to post something.
- Federal Elections forum merged into Canadian Politics.
- Political Debates forum structure simplified.
- Fixed post reply pages, thread preview now visible with a white background.
-- These pages are in the midst of being redesigned anyways.

... IMHO.
IMHO? In my humble opinion? Humble? HUMBLE?!? C'mon Colpy, you're very sure of yourself, you always try to martial facts and reason in support of your arguments, I respectfully suggest you've never had a *humble* opinion in your life. That's part of your charm, and why I'd like to sit across a table from you over a beer or two (three, four...) and have a chat some day.

And you're right, they are improvements, an opinion of mine exactly as humble as yours.

I always thought (and I don't see why it can't work) that IMHO meant "In my honest opinion". Maybe you just need to decide which one you want it to be or the one you think best fits the post.

Ach, Andem... it would be nice, if we could edit = correct our posts. I misunderstood someone today and rattled on about something totally different. Now I can't change that. There is no "edit" button in sight. There used to be, but not anymore!:x

Good Morning and...
Good Night!

Au Backe!! I just noticed the "edit" button on this post. How come not on my other post? Am I losing it???

The edit feature is nice but you can move on without it. We all make mistakes and you can be forgiven so to speak. Just write another post that says "oops" misunderstood you and then go on with your correct post. All will be fixed.

Thanks for your kind suggestion, but I think I'll forget about it now... not that important.;-)

Ya know what I'd like Andem? I'd like the ability to put a thread on ignore.

People keep on posting in that thread about the psychotic freak who killed her daughter. It's the kind of reporting I loathe. It feels like giving the woman attention to me (while I know it's not what any of our fine members intend). I'd love to be able to just block the whole damn thread from my view.

Andem, the site looks great and everyone should be using the Beta version as far as I am concerned..

I do agree with karrie that it would be nice to ignore some threads.. I for one and getting tired of seeing 10 Israel Threads and yet many others may love to see more. But that is just the fact of Forums.. Many have subdivided sections but I find those annoying and karrie's suggestion is by far much more appealing.. You can pick and chose the "thread" without blocking out the whole category..

I've never had any problem correcting blunders I made, simply punch edit and correct it.
