FYI ... Johnny Utah's sig has a little guy with a sign containing folks' IPs. No worries about it ... no one has access to it. Each person's shows up only on THEIR computer. Not on Johnny's nor anyone elses'. It's a cool little thingy accessible to anyone. You can have a peek at the code here ...

For me it displays the IP address of my ISP's gateway server. My systems are locked down as tight as I can make them, short of unplugging them. That gateway server is as close as anyone can get to my home network.

I have both a hardware and a software firewall so I'm not too worried about it. I leave no banking info on my computer so my nine dollars and sixty three cents are safe.

Ok, now that we know what it is, how do we make it go away? It's annoying and displays private information. You say it only displays it to me, but I don't want it there. And since it does display to me, I should get to decide whether I want it or not and I don't.
