Well from what I have heard from some people I know, ' an author from vancouver' and a professor of mine the Residential school at Port Alberni and the one at Alert Bay may still stand. So I think in a weekend or two I am going to go take a look around. If it is an abandoned building I will probably just stay out and take photos, howeve,r if someone is running it as a hotel or something I am going to take a look around.
