VANCOUVER -- Another 23 cattle may have been exposed to the same feed as a B.C. cow that tested positive for mad cow disease.

The 23 animals have been quarantined and will be tested.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says a number of the animals were exported to the U.S.

Canadian and American officials are collaborating to trace any remaining cattle.

The agency says finding more cases of BSE in the animals exposed to possibly-contaminated feed is unlikely.

Officials know one of the sick cow's most recent calves died previously.

They're still trying to determine what happened to a second calf.

As part of the feed probe, the inspection agency is looking for contamination that may have been there during manufacturing, transportation, and storage of the feed or feed ingredients.

The case, involving a six-year-old cow on a farm in the Abbotsford-area was confirmed Easter Sunday.

The CFIA isn't identifying the farm because of privacy concerns.

BSE is linked to more than 150 human deaths worldwide, mostly in Britain, from a deadly human nerve disorder, variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.

I didn't see this on mainstream news, did you?

Anyways, it seems to be that they are still using "feed made from meat", for cows. Just not feed made with cow meat.

Not good enough!! Maybe it is just protien when it is broken down, but when nature so clearly says "these animals eat no meat", nature means it!!

Disobeying natures laws is still a crime even if its not officially our laws. We just don't have any effective deterrants yet, and we have yet to declare that nature's laws should over-rule our laws.
