In the Gab paper there is an article about Capt. Elgin McKillop (ret.). This guy just retired from the Gabriola ferry "Quinsam". I spent a night in one of the pubs with him and he has been everywhere, on every kind of ship imaginable, from tramp steamers to giant oil tankers. I'm pretty well travelled but this guy entertained me for about five hours. He is worth a book or two. The stories he tells are priceless.
