Japanese Photographer Bends Electricity to His Will

Hiroshi Sugimoto has taken some interesting photos by sending up to 400,000 volts through film onto a metal table.

Those are some very interesting and beutiful pictures. Care to take a guess as to what they mean?

Not sure DB. It appears to have the same properties as lightning. Current will always look for the path of least resistance to ground. Along the way to ground a lightning bolt will branch off in many directions as if testing another path rather than the one it's currently following.

The technique he uses to capture these images is interesting. A film on a metal table....hmmm.....sounds a bit like a capacitor. A capacitor can hold a charge.
