Even the Left is Laughing

Even the left is now laughing at global warming. Not my words. But it doesn't
stop me from laughing along with the columnist who just published what I
predicted many, many storms ago. It's been at least two years since I recall
saying to citizens of Adler Nation, that I have an allergy to all bandwagons.
And that would include the Climate Crisis Cacophony. You like that word?
It's so perfect for the Crisis Heads. Cacophony is about the harshness of
certain sounds, like the sounds of Al Gore comparing the EARTH to a baby
that is being suffocated. Cacophony is also a great word because of the last
two syllables, PHONY. So much of this jacked up or should I say Jack
Laytoned up crisis is PHONY. Deroy Murdock lays out some bullet points,
that I will be happy to pass along.

· Nearly four inches of snow blanketed the United Arab Emirates' Jebel Jais
region for just the second time in recorded history on Jan. 24. Citizens were
speechless. The local dialect has no word for snowfall.

· Dutchmen on ice skates sped past windmills as canals in Holland froze in
mid-January for the first time since 1997. Defense Minister Eimert
van Middelkoop, who inhabits a renovated 17th Century windmill, stumbled
on the ice and fractured his wrist.

Murdock writes, “Earth faces global cooling, both troglodyte right-wingers
and lachrymose left-wingers find Albert Gore's simmering-planet hypothesis
increasingly hilarious. ‘In terms of (global warming's) capacity to cause the
human species harm, I don't think it makes it into the top 10,’ Dr. Robert
Giegengack, former chairman of University of Pennsylvania's Earth and
Environmental Sciences Department, told the Pennsylvania Gazette.
Giegengack voted for Gore in 2000, and says he likely would again.

Commentator Harold Ambler declared Jan. 3 on HuffingtonPost.com
that he voted for Barack Obama ‘for a thousand times a thousand reasons.’
He added that Gore ‘owes the world an apology for his actions regarding
global warming.’ He called Gore's assertion that ‘the science is in’ on this
issue ‘the biggest whopper ever sold to the public in the history of mankind.’

‘Not only is it false that human activity has any significant effect on global
warming or the weather in general, but for the record, global warming is over,’
retired Navy meteorologist Dr. Martin Hertzberg wrote on carbon-sense.com.
The physical chemist and self-described ‘scientist and life-long liberal Democrat’
added: ‘The average temperature of Earth's atmosphere has declined over the
last 10 years. From the El Nino Year of 1998 until Jan. 2007, it dropped a
quarter of a degree Celsius (0.45 degrees Fahrenheit). From Jan 2007 to the
spring of 2008, it dropped a whopping three-quarters of a degree Celsius
(1.35 degrees Fahrenheit). Those data further prove that the fear-mongering
hysteria about human-caused global warming is completely unjustified and is
totally counterproductive to our Nation's essential needs and security.’

‘It is a tribute to the scientific ignorance of politicians and journalists that they
keep regurgitating the nonsense about human-caused global warming," veteran
Left-wing commentator and Nation magazine columnist Alexander Cockburn
wrote. "The greenhouse fear mongers rely on unverified, crudely oversimplified
models to finger mankind's sinful contribution -- and carbon trafficking, just like
the old indulgences, is powered by guilt, credulity, cynicism, and greed.’

Some leftists believe the collective hallucination of warmism distracts from what
they consider urgent progressive priorities:

‘The most destructive force on the planet is power-driven financiers and
profit-driven corporations and their cartels backed by military might,’ University
of Ottawa physics professor Dr. Denis Rancourt has written. ‘The global warming
myth is a red herring that contributes to hiding this truth.’

Social historian Dr. David Noble of Canada's York University concurs. He has
lamented that warmism is ‘diverting attention from the radical challenges of the
global justice movements.’

Geophysicist Dr. Claude Allegre, previously Education Minister in France's late
1990s Socialist government, denounced the ‘prophets of doom of global warming.’
He sounded amused in a September 2006 L'Express article. ‘The ecology of helpless
protesting has become a very lucrative business for some people.’

So-called "global warming" has accomplished the impossible: It has united liberals
and conservatives in laughter.”

Being that Charles Adler is a FOX News and National Post "finger puppet", one has to laugh

I get a kick out'a him! You noticed that this was in the "Entertainment" section,
and not "Science," eh?

Doesn't mean he doesn't make very valid points at times though. 8O

First, long before you can document that Charles Adler is a 'finger puppet' of Fox News or National Post' I WILL document that Al Gore is truly a finger puppet of George Soros.

Second, you never bothered to refute any of Charles' points.

So, keep laughing! The world laughs with (at?) you.

Good day to you Ron, the Global warming subject is meritorious looking at the number of pollutants that are daily dumped into the ocean, the Earth is facing serious peril as a result of negligent and careless activity.

The fish in the oceans are showing extreme levels of mercury as well incredible amounts of broken down plastic pallets that end up in many sea life species digestive systems, which as a result cancer is detected in fish. So……………… global warming is intertwined with this grotesque environmental abuse we subject this butiful planet we call our home.
On the word (cacophony) as you know it is 2 Greek words in 1 (caco means BAD) (phony WITH THE ACCENT ON THE Y means VOICE)

As for unity between the Liberals and Conservatives that is a stretch, I have to say this; it is on record that the Liberals are better friends of the environment then the Conservatives.
If today it looks like there may be some unity between the 2 parties, Eggy is just getting positioned to become the choice of Government in Canada.

Hey by the way Ron, I have respect for you, but I think Charles is an idiot, he would never loose a chance in calling people who don’t think like him idiotic names like the 3 stooges and badly mocking Deon during the last federal election. The man has the mentality of a little kid.

Good Day to You Socrates! I'd forgotten about this Thread.
I get a kick out of Charles Adler and listen to his programs

This post is typical of a liberal who has nothing left except name-calling.

Charles Adler has a very successful, nationally heard radio show. Far more people must think that he is worth listening to, otherwise he would be exactly where the one pathetic present day compatriot of Socrates (you know, the real one, not the pretender) is: forgotten, hardly ever mentioned, except in pity.

Good day Yukon, Charles is a bigot and it is evident when he speaks.
As for being a pretender, you are wrong, I don’t need permission from you to use the name Socrates, the good thing for me is that many like my avatar and name, as you love yours and I am not mocking you about it. So.... kindly keep your unfriendly remarks silent. You are not Charles I did not knock you, so enjoy your day.

Good day CDNBear, I may be pushing emotion before tolerance, but Charles can be very provocative as well annoying.
All talk radio has to be provocative other wise the listening audience will not be stimulated. I understand all that. Let’s not forget we Canadians have not yet solved the Prime Minister dilemma. The country is on a second minority government and there is a BIG REASON for that. I relax my comment on Charles.

Socrates, you called someone who is not here to respond to your invectives (not that he would ever feel the need to) like he is an idiot and he has the mentality of a little kid.

I merely pointed out why I disagreed with you. I never called you by your name. I never referred to your avatar. I never claimed that you need permission from me to use same.

And then, after lecturing and threatening me, you come and insult Charles Adler again, by calling him a bigot.

Then you call him annoying and provocative.

Obviously your radio sdoes not have an on/off button. Or you enjoy listening to stuff that tortures you.

CDNBear, you come across as a reasonable and level-headed fellow. What made you swallow the left-wing smear of referring to FOXNews as Faux News.

Ask Charles Adler if he would ever do that.

Global Warming isn't effecting all places equally.

National Geographic News @ nationalgeographic.com

I have been thinking about this a bit there Juan. I am not an expert on the matter, but what do you think of the idea that the crust was being heated by the interal pressure that was partially exhausted by the volcanic eruptions in Alaska. I had always attributed the melting of the snow to the mining dust in the area from the mines and other pollutants in the atmosphere dirtying the snows of the Arctic causing them to melt faster each year. The southern breeds of birds I said came in with the additional shipping in the Actric in the last dozen years. They had the first pigeons show up in the Arctic (Iqaluit) in 2005, about, finches also. Likely stowaways on the cargo ships from Montreal.
