Thanks, I agree a million billion percent. lol
I hope we still will have stuff to talk about when the tour is over. Seems that we will.

Hey, it's not over! We have to continue through the single/CD release season.

And there's always the new season of AI coming up in January! As much as I've complained about it last winter, I just know I won't be able to stay away. I hope I won't be the only one!

How could I ever stay away!!

There always is, don't worry! And I think it's actually going to be even more interesting than the AI tour. The real start of the Idols' careers... Last summer, I stayed away a lot from the Cook fandom (except to watch a few tour videos), but September brought me right back in.

There will be a lot of news between now and January. Who knows? Maybe we'll get to see Kris on tour, too. And all those videos.

And radio promotion.. getting excited just thinking about it.

Adam's having another twitter party. Someone asked about his favourite scented candle? What? lol. Too funny.

ETA: He did sound good. He says he's still sick, so he didn't go out to sign. Good. Take care of yourself Kris.

I forgot to say: Kris sounded good on that crappy cellcast.

I wish I could go to the show in Manchester. I don't think it's gonna happen, though.

Yes! I just can't wait to hear the single for now though!

KrisAllen4Real – Portland I had a great time tonight at the show. Sorry I can’t come out and sign though. Still sick and don’t want anyone else to catch this

These concerts are set up so weird. Manchester. Syracuse? Why didn't they go to Syracuse after they were in Albany?

Providence is maybe three or four hours from Portland. (But Manchester is probably only an hour. Why didn't they do those two concerts one after the other?) Syracuse is not near anything. Six or seven hours drive from here.

They should have done it: Providence, Boston, Manchester, Portland.

Availability of the venue, maybe?

I want to vote for Kris in the Emmys. Where was that link? What page? I lost it. Not to be a pain in the ass.

Rough night at mj's.

Oh, and calling another poster “a little troll elf” is what started the bickering. Seriously, MY BLOG IS NOT A FAN SITE. Rudeness directed to those who criticize your favorite WILL GET YOU BANNED.

Can't be easy to moderate a site like that...

I don't have the link for the Emmys, sorry.

And, aww:

David Cook...aww.

That link was somewhere around page 50. I nearly found it. But then I didn't.

Oliver opened for Sass tonight in Toronto. I follow him on twitter. He has always kept in touch with her on twitter. Wonder if that led to the gig? You know, he seems to be doing rather well. Better than some of the people who made top 10, I think.

OK, I officially hate myself! I just joined twitter! LOL. Or not. David was so close to his objective of 50,000 followers and I wanted to twitter #davidcookrocks, which I did. I suck. I just don't even need it, but whatever it may be fun!

For sure, but Oliver has been living of his music for years, if I remember correctly. And he's really good at building a following, e-mails, facebook, twitter. He has the networking thing down!

On twitter, do the pictures of those I am following appear by themselves on the right side? I have only one now and I follow 4 people (wow, 4, lol).

I admire you for holding out so long! Seriously. You did your best (support group, here.)

OT: I'm watching the Latency interview from a few days ago on the MOD website. Just watched a bit of Carly Rae Jepson. Forgot I could watch this show online.

So are you going to follow @KrisAllen4Real?

The pictures should appear. If not now, they probably will later.

Hee! Way to go missaddicted - You will love it! It's strangely addictive.

and Oliver's song 'Pennies for the Blind' with Lukas Rossi is one of my favourites of his. Oliver has a real ease with Twitter - and if you follow Sass and Jann Arden you will see that they tease each other all the time. (seriously follow Jann though - she is HILARIOUS)

Was Carly Rae on MOD? I totally missed that.

Hi Guys,
I've been a lurker on this thread for awhile and thought I'd post something tonight since it's relevant to your discussion. I was at Hugh's Room tonight for Sass's CD release show. She had a packed house and put on an absolutely awesome show. As you mentioned, Oliver Pigott opened for her. I don't know what I was expecting, but he was actually really, really good and comes across so much better live than he did on the few CI episodes I caught him on. He opened with an emotionally stunning cover of Ray Charles' "You Don't Know Me" and played about 10 other original songs, including "Pennies for the Blind", which he explained was written in LA with "a very dear friend of mine". He got enormous applause after every one of his songs and seemed genuinely surprised. He thanked the audience umpteen times. Oliver performs with great passion and energy, yet seems really humble and almost shy when he speaks. I chatted with him for a few minutes after the show and really got a nice vibe from him. His brother was there too, in the audience, as was his mom, to whom he dedicated his last song. I bought Sass's new CD, and she signed it for me and also chatted a bit. As my friend and I were complimenting her on the great show she'd put on, and her fabulous band (including Emm Gryner as a back-up singer!), Jake Gold suddenly appeared and told us the show had been recorded and might be released as a live CD. If anyone's interested, I have a few tidbits and some photos.

Hi Jemma!! I'm sure we've all seen your name appear a few times in the "users viewing this thread" thing. I'm glad you've delurked to bring us your review of the show! I've been wanting to see Oliver live (well, both Pigotts) since I saw him on CI and I'm glad to see he doesn't disappoint. I've thought for a while that Oliver seems to be a really great guy so it's also good to have that confirmation!

Isn't Jake Sass' manager? Did I read that somewhere?

Well Jemma, I'm glad that we haven't driven you away with all of our craziness and please feel free to delurk more often!

Oh, and Oliver had the first version of their CD "Pigottry" remastered recently (yay, cause the first version sounds pretty horrible), so it's probably going to be in the (Canadian) iTunes store and on CD Baby really soon.

So much for going to bed... Cook only needs 83 more followers to reach 50,000. It's been going up pretty fast in the last few hours...

Hi missaddicted! Thanks for your response. I used to post occasionally on the CI thread on TWoP eons ago and I think I got a link to this place from there. I enjoy reading your posts. I've followed AI fairly avidly over the past couple of seasons -- got hooked the first time I saw David Cook, whom I'm hoping to see in Orillia at Casino Rama in November. I saw the AI tour show in 08 at the Air Canada Centre and this year in Hamilton.

Yes, Jake Gold is Sass's manager and I noticed him a few times during the show. Hugh's Room is one of the greatest music venues anywhere -- it's intimate, has phenomenal acoustics and the seating is at tables. You can enjoy dinner before the show and drinks during -- it's really civilized and comfortable. I don't live too far from the place and go there fairly often. Sass's show is probably the best one I've seen there this year.

Also...Oliver did mention to me that he and his brother were releasing a CD soon and that it was currently being mastered. I'm really looking forward to it. I think the whole room was blown away by his talent tonight -- apart from being an excellent singer and songwriter, he's a very fine musician too. I'm not sure how to post photos here, but I got a few. He has a very different look these days from the shaved head he had going on when he was on CI.
