Understanding Oil

The world’s oil reserves are complex blend of slippery and flammable substances. Oil affects the earth in so many ways.

For example, it keeps water and other things apart from each other. Oil lubricates the earth’s surface and submersed land areas to ensure continental drift. It reduces wear in substrates and tectonic plates.

Oil prevents chemical breakdown of the earth’s ground layers, keeps gravity from sticking, and protects the earth’s core from overheating. This improves our planet's ability to move through space. It manages to do this over an ever changing and unpredictable temperature range.

As you can see, oil does a lot more than just lubricate.
