Living In A Small Town Within A Big City.

CBC has resurrected Stephen Leacock’s Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town about a town that existed 100 years ago somewhere in Canada in a simpler time. http://bit.ly/zH0Utl

Everybody longs to live in a small town where life is a little slower and people knows other people and other people know them.

It starts with four corners, which grows into a village then a town then a city and then a bigger city and as it grows it consumes villages and small towns.

The towns are converted into neighborhoods and life goes on and city hall becomes a bigger irritant.

Like any big city in Canada the small towns live on in a big city like in Toronto we have towns like Weston and Agincourt and Willowdale and others that thrive in the big city and people move different areas and settle down and as long as they roll up their sleeves and become a part of the community that’s when they will experience that small town feeling.

In a small town that’s what happens being part of the scene, enjoying the good life and persevering through bad times when you are part of the community you are richer than you think.

If you happen to watch Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town on CBC you might start to believe that in the big city you have been living in, is a small town.
