Buying Software in Canada

I was wondering if anyone has a source to buy software cheaper?
I know a few websites

Do you guys have your own sources??

I'm a design student, so illegal software is a no go for me!

Also, I'm thinking of buying a Wacom Tablet... good, no good?

This is a linux based system (that runs under windows) so it has many free programs, it may/may not have what you need, otherwise try a full linux system
