God knows very well who will respond positively to the apostle (and then believe in God alone and reject the idols), as well as does He know who will be an antagonist of the apostle (and will stick to his traditions and idolatry and association with God.)

But He sends them the apostle (prior to their punishment in case they keep up on their idolatry and atheism); He sends them their apostle only in a way of making evidence against them; lest they should say: "Our Lord, why didn't You send us an apostle and we should then have believed and be saved from the punishment?"

The Meccans before the coming of Prophet Mohammed; they mocked the Jews and said: "Had God sent us an apostle like Moses, we would certainly have become better than Jews in obedience and conduct." Then when Mohammed came they rejected him.

Some people: God likes to remove the scales from their eyes (they are kind-hearted and pious), and others He dislikes to remove their scales because He dislikes their manner and conduct and internal attitude, so He leaves them be to devils to take control of them and increase their immersion in sins and wrong-doing.

The apostle, whatever clever he is, cannot guide even the dearest man to his heart (like the uncle of Prophet Mohammed: Abu-Lahab, the father of Prophet Abraham, the grandson of Prophet Noah… etc.)

Prophet Mohammed supplicated God sincerely: "Lord, guide my people; they are only ignorant." And he went on praying God so frequently in this way, but God – be glorified – forbade him from that; as in this aya 3: 128
لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذَّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ
The explanation:
(You [Mohammed] have nothing to do at all with the matter [of their guidance or misguidance]; even He may turn toward them [if they believe] or punish them [if they keep up their unbelief]; for they, indeed, are wrong-doers [who deserve to be misguided then to be punished.] )

This meaning is demonstrated in a large number of ayat of the Quran, and that the apostle (or the messenger) has only to carry out his duty in conveying the message and the warning, but the guidance is exclusively up to God alone.

I know you are an enemy of God, and you boast of being "kafir", as you said in a past reply to another previous post.

Anyhow, God – be glorified – may subject the kafir and some of His enemies to harm themselves and to carry out things against their own advantage; and none may know the host of your Lord but God Himself (according to an aya of the Quran.)

I was seeking after some images of locust swarms which demonstrate how the gathering-together of the Judgment Day will occur. In another aya, it was likened to the moths or bugs circling around the lamp.

The locust swarms give a terrible example and demonstration of the gathering-together of the Judgment Day: the individual locust flying in the air (and stretching its two legs behind it) resembles a naked man flying in the space when all the planets and the sun will burst on Doomsday, and souls will scatter in the space of the broken-up solar system.

There is a large number of religions, sects, doctrines, philosophies in the present time and in the past.

Out of all these different doctrines there is only one correct way: which pertains to God alone without associate, equal, patron, peer, son or daughters.

All the other opinions and ideas and philosophies and doctrines are wrong, false and error. All such associating with God, ascribing to Him sons and daughters, and associating idols, Satan, Lucifer, Ashtar, Venus and even those worshipping the angels and the Christ –– all such doctrines are misguided.

Some have invented a sort of religion of their own accord, and said "such is the true religion".
But this is false; the true religion is the religion of God alone without any associate, depending on the revelation that He revealed.

All Jews who do not believe in Jesus Christ neither in Prophet Mohammed –– such Jews will lose in the next afterlife.

All Christians who do not believe in Mohammed nor in the Quran revealed from God –– such Christians will lose in the afterlife.

All Muslims who are enthusiastic about the prophet or Ali and his sons and the other righteous men; such Muslims who are enthusiastic will lose.

Muslims who do not associate with their God, but depend on Him alone and put their trust in God alone, and who believe in all the heavenly books: the Ten Commandments, the Torah, the Gospel and the Quran, and believe in all the prophets and apostles of God [including Moses, Jesus and Mohammed]; in addition they do not transgress on others and give alms to the poor for the sake of God alone–– it may be that these will prosper in the afterlife.

This is in the Quran 6: 153
The explanation:
(Surely, this [religion of the Islam] is My 'standard' way [of monotheism]; therefore do you [men] follow it,

but follow not other ways [in the future], lest you be parted from His way [because of the plighting and designing of the associaters belonging to the other ways.]

This [warning] He has commanded you with; haply you will ward off [their plights and wickedness.] )

Therefore, if you stick to this monotheistic way; it may be that you may be saved; or else none may be saved unless by God's mercy and favor.

While all other ramblings and falsehood are only lies and fabrications, and they only insist on their lies.

It doesn't matter whether the hurricane starts at the sea or in the desert; but see what harm it is doing to people according to their sins and disobeying God Almighty; of course they say it is only a natural thing! But why such natural thing come in severe way or in mild way? I watched the last hurricane threatening Luisiana, and surprised: aren't there anyone supplicates God and pray Him to divert this danger; then I read in the Yahoo news a citizen said: "We put our trust in God, and we have our faith in God." and I expected it will pass peacefully, and it was as such. ...

science lessons for eanassir:

Hurricanes need four conditions to form:

* low air pressure
* warm temperatures
* moist ocean air
* tropical winds (near the equator).

Hurricanes form in the tropics, over warm ocean water (over 80ºF or 27ºC) and at latitudes between 8° and 20°, Hurricanes form mostly from June through November (hurricane season). These powerful storms are fueled by the heat energy that is released when water vapor condenses (turns into liquid water -- rain).

A hurricane goes through many stages as it develops:

1. It starts as a tropical wave, a westward-moving area of low air pressure.
2. As the warm, moist air over the ocean rises in the low air pressure area, cold air from above replaces it. This produces strong gusty winds, heavy rain and thunderclouds that is called a tropical disturbance.
3. As the air pressure drops and there are sustained winds up to 38 miles per hour, it is called a tropical depression.
4. When the cyclonic winds have sustained speeds from 39 to 73 miles per hour, it is called a tropical storm (storms are given names when they begin to have winds of this speed).
5. The storm becomes a hurricane when there are sustained winds of over 73 miles per hour.

The End of a Storm:
When a hurricane travels over land or cold water, its energy source (warm water) is gone and the storm weakens, quickly dying.

Defining a Hurricane

To understand how a hurricane works, you have to understand the basic principles of atmospheric pressure. The gases that make up Earth's atmosphere are subject to the planet's gravity. In fact, the atmosphere weighs in at a combined 5.5 quadrillion tons (4.99 quadrillion metric tons). The gas molecules at the bottom, or those closest to the Earth's surface where we all live, are compressed by the weight of the air above them.

The air closest to us is also the warmest, as the atmosphere is mostly heated by the land and the sea, not by the sun. To understand this principle, think of a person frying an egg on the sidewalk on a hot, sunny day. The heat absorbed by the pavement actually fries the egg, not the heat coming down from the sun. When air heats up, its molecules move farther apart, making it less dense. This air then rises to higher altitudes where air molecules are less compressed by gravity. When warm, low-pressure air rises, cool, high-pressure air seizes the opportunity to move in underneath it. This movement is called a pressure gradient force.

These are some of the basic forces at work when a low-pressure center forms in the atmosphere -- a center that may turn into what people in the North Atlantic, North Pacific and Caribbean regions call a hurricane. What else is happening? Well, as we know, warm, moist air from the ocean's surface begins to rise rapidly. As it rises, its *water vap*or condenses to form storm clouds and droplets of rain. The condensation releases heat called latent heat of condensation. This latent heat warms the cool air, causing it to rise. This rising air is replaced by more warm, humid air from the ocean below. And the cycle continues, drawing more warm, moist air into the developing storm and moving heat from the surface to the atmosphere. This exchange of heat creates a pattern of win*d that circulates around a center, like water going down a drain.

But what about those signature ferocious winds? Converging winds at the surface are colliding and pushing warm, moist air upward. This rising air reinforces the air that's already ascending from the surface, so the circulation and wind speeds of the storm increase. In the meantime, strong winds blowing the same speed at higher altitudes (up to 30,000 feet or 9,000 meters) help to remove the rising hot air from the storm's center, maintaining a continual movement of warm air from the surface and keeping the storm organized. If the high-altitude winds don't blow at the same speed at all levels -- if wind shears are present -- the storm becomes disorganized and weakens.

*Even higher in the atmosphere (above 30,000 feet or 9,000 meters) high-pressure air over the storm's center also removes heat from the rising air, further driving the air cycle and the hurricane's growth. As high-pressure air is sucked into the low-pressure center of the storm, wind speeds increase. Then you have a hurricane to contend with.

How a Hurricane Forms

You never hear about hurricanes hitting Alaska. That's because hurricanes develop in warm, tropical regions where the water is at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit (27 degrees Celsius). The storms also require moist air and converging equatorial winds. Most Atlantic hurricanes begin off the west coast of Africa, starting as thunderstorms that move out over the warm, tropical ocean waters.

A hurricane's low-pressure center of relative calm is called the eye. The area surrounding the eye is called the eye wall, where the storm's most violent winds occur. The bands of thunderstorms that circulate outward from the eye are called rain bands. These storms play a key role in the evaporation/condensation cycle that feeds the hurricane.

The rotation of a hurricane is a product of the Coriolis force, a natural phenomenon that causes fluids and free-moving objects to veer to the right of their destination in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere. Imagine flying a small plane directly south. While you're moving southward, the planet is rotating. If you plotted a flight from the North Pole to the equator on a map, the path will appear to curve to the right.

So in the Northern Hemisphere, winds deflect to the right. In the Southern Hemisphere, they deflect to the left. This wind deflection gets storms spinning. As a result, hurricanes in the Northern Hemisphere rotate counterclockwise and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. The force also affects the actual path of the hurricane, bending them to the right (clockwise) in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left (counterclockwise) if you're south of the equator. If you can't remember, just move within five degrees of the equator; the Coriolis force is too weak there to help form hurricanes.

Hurricanes often begin their lives as clusters of clouds and thunderstorms called tropical disturbances. These low-pressure areas feature weak pressure gradients and little or no rotation. Most of these disturbances die out, but a few persevere down the path to hurricane status. In these cases, the thunderstorms in the disturbance release latent heat, which warms areas in the disturbance. This causes the air density inside the disturbance to lower, dropping the surface pressure. Wind speeds increase as cooler air rushes underneath the rising warm air. As this wind is subject to the Coriolis force, the disturbance begins to rotate. The incoming winds bring in more moisture, which condenses to form more cloud activity and releases latent heat in the process.

I haven't realy understood about the "kafuffle", which is also not mentioned in the dictionary of the American Encyclopedia.

About our "kubba": it is a sort of mincemeat with some pea or almond and kishmish [which is some dried kind of grapes], all this inside some rice or potato, then it is fried in some oil until it becomes toasted. It is like the Potato chap or rice chap.

But why should anyone be afraid of me; I never used any weapon against anyone in all my life, neither did I beat anyone with a stalk or a stone as I remember, other than beating some of my sons and daughers when they were children in order to discipline them, as had my father disciplined me with some lashes.

Truly, it is God That casts fear in the heart of the associater, idolater and atheist; refer to the Book of the Levites, chapter 26; see how the disbeliever will be afraid without cause; also in the Quran 3: 151

The explanation:
(We will cast [in the next war, following the battle of Uhud], into the hearts of the unbelievers, terror;
for that they have associated with God that for which He revealed no commandment;
their resort shall be Fire; evil indeed is such resort of the wrong-doers.)
