There are worries something has happened to the Loch Ness Monster.
Gary Campbell, who records sightings of Nessie, said for the first time since 1925, no one has come forward to say they have spotted the creature in the past 18 months.
"It's very upsetting news and we don't know where she's gone," Campbell told the BBC.
"The number of sightings has been reducing since the turn of the century but this is the first time in almost 90 years that Nessie wasn't seen at all."
Campbell, who began keeping records after he saw something in the Scottish loch, said he has 1,036 reports of people who claim to have seen a large dark shape, humps in the water, or a long-necked creature.
But he said he doesn't think Nessie -- who many people believe to be fictional -- is dead.
"I'm convinced that Nessie has just taken some time out and will be back with a vengeance this year," he said.
