I know that! Just be careful, we in the west are not in a very good mood!

But I'm conceding the win on the "who has the ****tiest weather" lottery to the west. I'm being all congenial and not even mentioning, for the second time, how our coldest temperatures have not even reached the double minus digits. How in comparison it's downright balmy here. I'm not mentioning any of that.

Please don't shut me out, lol.

It's cold here in Regina. Let my dogs out at noon (my lunch break)
so they could take care of business. One of them dropped a log and
it landed on end, and froze in place like that. It sort'a looks like a small
version of the Leaning Tower of Piza. That takes some very harsh
weather conditions to accomplish.

In my last Winter in Fort McMurry, it got so cold that a bowl of hot water put out on the back porch froze
so fast, the ice was still warm...

There's record snowfall all over North America and even in Japan. So much for global warming.

Very tiny science lesson... local weather and global climate are not the same thing. Having a healthy toe does not mean you're not dying of cancer.

Yeah, I think this is more of a weather situation than a climate situation!

All that snow that fell and blew east Tuesday met relatives and is blowing west today....

On a side note.... The dog is dancing to get out and play in it.

Love snow; without it winter would simply be seven months of freezing cold.

Yep, snow on the deck as well. The above photo must have been taken when Sleepy was thinner and taller.

The saving grace of our cold snap was that it usually doesn't snow when it's that cold.

OK, things are in transition now, and this cold and snow will be gone in a few days, much warmer today,
snowing right now, but that will be rain sooner than later, then we will be back to our warm winter.

We haven't yet got any snow....or rain yet today but the Environment Canada forcast has changed dramatically. It looks
like our snow will be gone soon....This looks more like what we are used to. I'm sure we were given a little shot of
Edmonton's weather by mistake.......

We're sitting at a balmy -23 here in Eagle Creek today, much better than the -30 to -35 of the past few days. Some areas around here saw the temp drop as low as -42. Got a little snow overnight but hope we get a lot more.

That's wise! I always drench with sunscreen SPF 50+ when the temperature hits -40*C or higher.

Right now, we have 12 degrees and sunny. Much better than the weather forecast but I'm okay with that....

but we don't want to induce our fruit trees to put out leaves too soon or we might get another frost...Heaven forbid...
